Easton: You always jump in headfirst.
Colton: Nothing has ever felt more right.
Halton: The girls are gathering at my house now.
Dexter: Prince Charming is at your disposal.
Trevor: You really shouldn’t advertise that, Dex.
Lochlan: Will Tilly be there?
Preston: My Tilly? WTF, Lochlan? How do you know my sister-in-law?
Lochlan: Just asking, mate.
Preston: (I’m watching you GIF)
Lochlan: (laughing emoji)
Colton: Family court at 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Easton: We’ll all be there.
Colton: Thanks.
Colton: I’m getting married!
Halton: Peter’s all grown up.
Colton: (eye rolling emoji)

My body releases my shoulders in relief.
“I have to work tonight, anyway. Do you want me to call Beth to see if she can babysit?”
“No, why? I’ll be here with him. And it’s not babysitting when it’s your own kid. Lexi likes to point that out every chance she gets.”
She throws her head back and laughs. “Well, it’s true.”
“It is. And he is. I feel like he’s mine.”
Winnie cups my cheeks, searching my eyes. “I know you do, Colton. You have no idea how much that means to me.”
“I hate that you’re still working the night shift. You don’t have—”
