“I love you.” I breathed.
“Again.” He said, pulling me tighter against him.
I smiled, giggling as I said it again and again. “I love you.” he kissed my cheek, the stubble of his jaw tickling me. “I love you. I love you.”
He kissed me. "I love you,mea luna. And no matter what happens, I will always find you… as I have from the beginning. Until the end of everything. Until the sun burns up and the moon crumbles to dust. I will always love you."
I nearly cried, the tears welling in my eyes.
He kissed me deeply and hooked his hands behind my knees as he lifted me and carried me over to the couch. He laid me down on the cushions and was on me in seconds. The delicious scent of cedar and leather spilled across the room, filling my lungs.
His hands snaked up my shirt, and he groaned in frustration at the snugness of it caught under me. He ripped it open in his impatience, and I gasped as he lowered himself to kiss my collarbone.
A moan slipped through my lips as his hands molded against my skin, and his kisses moved up to my neck, his fangs gliding over my skin. He bit down and my body buckled as he drank, pulling me into him. His knee pressed into the cushion between my legs, and he pressed his lower half into me, grinding against me as he drank. He stopped a moment later, kissing me, and I could taste the faint hint of my blood on his tongue.
We froze as the sound of the front door flying open rang through the house. Heavy footsteps came down the hall and we heard Barrett’s voice ring out. “Damien!”
Damien shot up, and I covered myself against the couch as Barrett came through the doorway. He froze the moment he saw us.
He turned his head away. “Fuck, Sorry, man.”
“This better be fucking important,” Damien growled, pushing himself up. He pulled his shirt over his head, handing it to me to cover myself. I quickly took it, turning away as I slid it over my head. Just in time too, as Vincent and Zephyr entered the room.
“Shit, sorry!” Zephyr barked and they both immediately averted their eyes.
“Well, don’t just fucking stand there. What is it?” Damien barked.
Silence hung in the air, and the moment the words left Barrett’s lips, my heart sank.
“Cole escaped…”
