HALF brOTHER

I ’m so nervous. Ray doesn’t know I’m here a day early. Sunshine gave me the address, and here I am at the compound gate, unannounced, trying to get in.

I hit the buzzer.

“Hello, beautiful. How can I help you?” A male voice booms from the little speaker.

“Hello. Is R—” I correct myself and use his club name, “Level around?” I ask, beaming at the camera.

The door opens, and I hear a different male voice come through the speaker. “Hey, Cherry. Come on up to the clubhouse. I’ll meet you there.”

Recognizing Dawg’s voice, I put my car into drive and head up the hill. As soon as the clubhouse is in view, I see Dawg standing outside the door with a massive grin on his face.

Sunshine sent me a photo of the two of them, so I knew what he looked like.

When I put the car in park, Dawg opens my door for me.

“Cherry, I thought you were coming tomorrow?” Dawg asks, holding the door for me.

As I grab all my shit, I answer him, “Yeah, I came a day early. I need to talk to Ra…I mean Level. Is he here?”

Dawg is one tall motherfucker. I have to tilt my head way back to look up at him.

He lights up a joint. “Nah, he should be here any time now. Come on in and meet the guys while you wait. Does he know you’re here?”

Shutting my door, I shake my head. “No, it was last minute. I didn’t want to tell him over the phone.

Dawg’s eyebrows shoot up. “Oh some secret sexy shit, huh?”

Not wanting to tell him or have him keep questioning me, I agree with him.

Once we enter a huge room, I see a bunch of men around the bar and pool table. I don’t see any women hanging around, thank goodness. That’s the last thing I need is for one of his booty calls to be here.

Dawg introduces me to everyone, telling them I helped find Samantha. I’m thankful he didn’t mention that Garrett was my adoptive brother. My stomach does a little flip thinking about the information my parents found out today.

That’s why I’m here a day early. My parents are on their way to Washington to see Garrett in jail.

I sit at the bar next to a guy named Chewy. I totally understand his nickname as I see the amount of hair he has on his body. On the other side of me is Dawg.

A cute young boy asks me what I’d like to drink, and I tell him a shot of Jameson if he has any and a beer.

Dawg whistles next to me. “Damn, girl. A shot and a beer.”

Thinking about what I need to tell Ray, I reply, “Yeah, it’s been one of those days.”

I sit around with the men and banter back and forth with them about stupid shit. Dawg is teasing me, saying I did some kind of witchery on his friend, and that he doesn’t do relationships. The men at the bar are in hysterics hearing Ray’s going to be a one-woman man.

We’re all laughing, so I didn’t pay attention to the door or even hear it open. All I hear is his voice booming across the room.

“Blossom, what are you doing here?”

Panic sets in. I see my gorgeous mountain of a man stalking toward me. Is he mad?

Did I make a mistake coming without telling him?

As he approaches me, I turn in my seat and stand up, and before I can say anything, he grabs me and smashes his mouth to mine, puncturing my mouth with his tongue.

I melt like butter in his arms, and instantly, I need him. It’s been too long.

“Get a fucking room,” Dawg teases.

Ignoring them, Ray grips my ass cheeks, lifting me, and I wrap my legs around his waist. I rock against him, needing more.

Ray breaks the kiss breathless. “Blossom, it’s Thursday. I thought you were coming tomorrow?”

I clasped my arms around his neck, intertwining my fingers. I pout. “I needed to see you.”

All the men are hooting and hollering, yelling, “Hell yeah!”

I bat my eyelashes, and I can see he’s happy to see me.

“Guys, I’ll be right back,” he says, turning away from them.

I giggle.

Yes!

They all start talking shit, saying we won’t be back or some stupid crap. Ray’s voice is serious when he says over his shoulder, “This time will be quick, then church, and then I’ll take her home. So don’t go anywhere.”

When the guys see his face, they nod.

“Fuck, Blossom, I have no control around you. I need to be inside you.”

I whine, “Hurry.”

“It’s going to be fast and rough. I’ve missed you,” he rushes out just before tossing me onto the bed.

We both scramble to take off our clothes.

When he sees I’m already naked, he doesn’t finish removing his pants.

Instead, he just drops them to his ankles and crawls onto the bed.

Gripping my knees, he pulls me down and positions himself at my entrance, and with one swift, hard thrust, he’s fully seated inside me.

“Fuck yes!” he roars.

I join him, crying out in ecstasy. I’m just as ready as he is, taking him with ease.

He didn’t lie about being rough. His grip on my hips is demanding as he slams into me.

Fast and hard. Our bodies become louder and louder with each thrust. We’re both moaning and grunting, needing more.

I lift my hips, wanting him deeper inside me. His fingernails dig into my hips.

My hair is bouncing all around me with curls springing up and down with the impact of each thrust.

“Fuck. I’m close,” he grunts breathlessly.

My breath becomes just as strained. I whimper, “Yeah,” over and over again as my climax builds.

Ray grits out with each thrust, “Blossom.”

“I can’t.” Thrust.

“Hold it.” Thrust.

“Much.” Thrust.

“Longer.”

Pistoning into me, he becomes erratic, almost slipping out of me. I’m so wet.

“Oh God!” I cry out.

Feeling my orgasm start to shatter, Ray takes me over the edge by sliding a hand up my body, then gripping a nipple and twisting it.

I scream his name, and Ray follows suit, letting our orgasms burst.

After a few more pumps, he collapses on top of me.

A few seconds later, I start to giggle as he rolls off me, still out of breath.

He’s so gorgeous. So perfect. Sex is out of this world with him.

I roll to my side to face him, my hair stuck to my face from sweating, and I am completely spent.

“What?” he asks, still out of breath.

I say the only word I can form at this moment, “Hi.”

That has him tilting his head back with a full belly laugh. I join in.

Ray leans over me and takes my mouth, needing more of me, but I break the kiss, knowing I need to speak with him. Hoping what I have to say won’t crush him.

I start to get nervous. I don’t know him well enough to know how he is going to take the news.

“I want to talk to you about something.”

“I need to speak with the guys, and then we can go up to my house,” he says, inches away from my lips.

“Well, I think we should talk first. It’s why I’m here a day early.” My voice trembles with nervousness.

He leans up onto his elbows so he can see my face.

God, he has such beautiful, crystal blue eyes. He can see that something is wrong.

“What is it?” he asks, moving off me and standing up so he can pull up his pants that are around his ankles, making it easier to move around to grab my clothes. I pull on my panties and bra, and when I don’t say anything, he faces me and hands me my shirt. “Just tell me. What happened?”

“Fuck. I’m so nervous,” I rush out, anxious.

“Blossom, you’re starting to freak me out. Just tell me,” he says more roughly.

“I talked with my parents. They spoke with Garrett, finally,” I blurt out.

Ray sits down on the bed next to me, giving me his full attention.

“Okay, this is going to be a lot. I’m nervous and scared about how you are going to react to this news.”

Ray grabs my hand. “Don’t be scared. Just tell me.”

Here goes nothing .

“Please bear with me because I just found all this out today myself.” I take a deep breath and begin, “My parents never lied to my brother or me about him being adopted. Maybe they should have, but they didn’t.

My parents didn’t tell anyone what their names were, just that his mom died and his dad was in prison.

Garrett figured out their names on his own.

They thought maybe finding out who his real parents were would help him.

He rebelled so much they didn’t know what to do with him.

It was like he was a lost soul.” I pause, shifting to sit with my legs crossed on the bed next to him.

“Okay, so this part is news to me. What they didn’t tell any of us was that Garrett’s birth father had been putting money into an account for him.

The adoption agency had told my parents about this account and said they could use it if Garrett needed anything, but they never did, choosing instead to keep it in case he wanted to attend college or pursue other interests.

They never told him because he was fucked up.

Plus, they said when he turned twenty-five, it would all go to him without any stipulation.

“My parents knew he had gone to see George because right after he came back, he was a completely different person. My parents never questioned his behavior. George told him he had a brother and Garrett was hell-bent on finding him. He hated my parents for not telling him he had a sibling. For the record, they didn’t know anything about him.

They decided that if he found his brother, maybe it would help Garrett.

” I wave my hands around. “They always fought about his biological dad.” I pause again to gauge his reaction, but he’s just sitting there, listening.

“When the money stopped being deposited into the account, the bank contacted Garrett since he was over the age of twenty-one. Not knowing anything about it, he had questions. My parents were unaware the funds were no longer being deposited. So when Garrett went to see George in prison and asked about the money, George went crazy, saying that JR was still meddling in his life even in death.”

Ray interjects, “JR? My dad?”

I dip my chin.

Shit.

Shit.

Shit.

I make a pained face and rush out, saying, “It seems George told Garrett he wasn’t his kid, but that he was Marco Raymond Amato Jr.’s kid, and JR didn’t want him. Garrett lost his shit. Especially when George told him, his slut mom wanted JR, not him or the boys.

“Wait. What?” Ray’s face is in shock.

Wringing my hands nervously, I say slowly, “I know. That’s why I rushed over here. I guess ever since then, Garrett’s been on this mission to hurt you and your family for ruining his family.”

“He told your parents this today?” Ray asks.

“Yes. It seems Garrett needs his money for a lawyer, so he called my parents. He told my parents everything George said to him, including how your dad is his biological father, not George. Garrett also told my parents how he hates them, me, and all of you. George has him so brainwashed, thinking my parents and your family ruined their life.”

Ray sits staring at the floor with his elbows on his knees before dropping his head into his hands.

I sit there anxiously. I don’t know what to do or say, so I let him think.

A few minutes later, he lifts his head.

“So, you’re telling me Garrett is my half-brother?”

I give a slight tilt of my head, not trusting my voice.

“And you just heard about this today?”

“Yes, same as my parents.” I want to make sure he knows my parents and I are just as shocked as he is.

Pure rage spreads across his face, and Ray’s crystal blue eyes turn murderous.

Fuck.

I cower back.

Shit. What do I do?
