Page 88 of Necessary Space
“Then don’t.”
I groaned, lashes fluttering as he dragged his teeth down my throat.
“Friday night,” he murmured. “We can leave Wes with Grayson. I can get us a hotel.”
“Big plans.”
Miles palmed my dick, which was getting harder by the second. “I’m sure you’ll enjoy the privacy.”
I huffed a breath, half laugh and half agreement. I would have given anything to turn my driveway into a hotel so I could strip out of my way too itchy and constricting suit and get my dick inside of Miles.
“I don’t doubt it,” I agreed. In my pocket, my phone vibrated with an incoming call, startling us both. I jumped and Miles let out an awkward laugh, putting space between us. He adjusted his cock, hard and insistent against the front of his sweats.
“I was about to say that you were really enjoying the public part of it,” he said with a smirk.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and frowned. “It’s my mom.”
“Talk about a buzzkill.”
I swiped to accept the call. “Mom. Hold on a sec.”
I gave Miles a kiss goodbye, waving him off. He assured me that he would have Grayson make sure Wes didn’t get into trouble while I was gone, which wasn’t as reassuring as he’d planned for it to be.
In the car, my phone connected to the Bluetooth, and I was able to better say hello to my mom. “Sorry about that. Hi. Hey.”
“You’re fine. You’re fine. Who were you talking to?” she asked.
“My boyfriend.”
“Who’s he?”
“His name is Miles. He’s my neighbor.” I didn’t want to have this conversation with her, or with anyone I was related to for that matter. Already out of my neighborhood, I wondered how fast I would have to drive to get to work before the conversation turned horribly awkward.
“You haven’t said anything about him.”
“You haven’t asked,” I reminded her.
“You haven’t called,” she countered, voice tipping up at the end like we were playing a game of questions.
“Well, I’ve been busy, you know. With Wesley here unannounced and all of that.” I reached for the coffee Miles had hand delivered to my driveway. It was almost unbearably thoughtful of him and terribly kind.
“That’s what I wanted to talk to you about.”
“Sure, Mom. It’s fine if he stays with me a few days.” I rolled my eyes at the afterthought.
“You know your brother is an adult. If anyone should have asked your permission, it was him.”
“I know.”
“I’m calling, though, because he still uses our house as his mailing address and I got a letter from the school on Saturday,” she said.
“I’m sure he can deal with it when he’s back,” I replied. “He told me he hadn’t booked a trip yet, but I know he doesn’t have a ton of time available to ditch.”
“He’s not ditching,” my mom said. “He withdrew.”
“He what?” I stammered, almost spitting coffee out of my mouth at the absurdity of her comment.
“I didn’t realize the letter was for him. I assumed it was a tuition bill so I opened it up, and it was a letter confirming his withdrawal for the spring trimester.”
