Page 92 of My Three Hometown Hard Hats
“One thousand percent, sweetheart.”
Still in Con’s arms, she turns to look at Austin. “Areyousure?” She sucks in a shaky breath. “Even with Evelyn? Is she okay with this?”
He half rolls his eyes. “She’s more than okay with this. She’s been begging us to let you move in with us for a while now. She wanted you to have bunk beds with her in her room.”
This makes her laugh as she leans against Con’s chest. Austin pulls her hand, so she steps over in front of him.
“As for me, yes, I’m sure. I want you in my life, our life. I want you here for all of it. The good stuff. The hard stuff.” He shrugs like it’s just that simple, and I guess it is. We love her, and we want her here for all of it.
He leans down, kissing her before she turns to look at me.I guess I get to be the one to ask her.
She steps over, wrapping her arms around my shoulders as she leans up on her tiptoes. “You want this too?” she asks, quirking a brow at me.
How is that even a question?“Fuck yeah, I do,” I huff out, exasperated that she would even ask. “So, Hadley Jones, will you move in with us?”
She smirks at me, tilting her head to the side. But she doesn’t say anything. My brain starts to freak out a little.
She yelps when I grab the back of her thighs, hauling her into my arms. I carry her over to the bed, laying her down on the side.
She’s still smiling up at me from her spot on the bed and her legs wrapped firmly around my waist.
“We made sure the bed was the right height, so we could fuck you like this,” I say, imitating the motion with my hips. She bites her lip through her smile.
My eyes dart around the room for more things I can use to convince her, but she releases her legs and sits up on the edge of the bed. Her delicate fingers grip my chin, forcing me to look at her.
“Yes,” she says, and all the air in my lungs rushes out. “Not because of this gorgeous bed, which is fucking massive by the way. Or the perfect purple wall. Or the pictures of my family that are hanging over there.”
She motions to the far wall.
“I’m saying yes because I want to be here. I want this with all of you and Evelyn.”
New tears well in her eyes as she looks between all of us, letting us all know she’s in this with each of us individually just as much as we are as a whole.
CHAPTER FORTY
Hadley
Brooks’s armsband around me as he hauls me to the head of the bed. His lips crash against me, but I press back into the pillows.
“My shoes,” I groan, trying to kick them off.
“I don’t give a fuck,” he growls, his hair fanning around us as he stares down at me.
“I do,” I say, glaring up at him. “It’smybed, and it’s so pretty.”
“Well, one of them can take them off because you and I are both going to be occupied for the next few minutes,” he says before his mouth consumes mine.
I’m barely aware of my shoes being untied and pulled off my feet.Conrad, I think.
Brooks dominates my attention. His hands roaming all over my body, his tongue teasing mine. He pulls back every so slightly when we’re both breathless.
“I love you,” he whispers.
“I love you, too,” I whisper back because that seems the only acceptable volume to use right now.
He sits back on his haunches between my spread legs. I drag in a deep breath, realizing Austin and Conrad are standing to my left on the side of the massive bed.
“You’re really saying yes. You want to live here with us?” Austin asks.
