She stormed toward me, but I stood my ground, arms crossed, blocking her path. “Move,” she demanded.

“I don’t know how many times I have to say no,” I said.

“I’m leaving, and you can’t stop me.”

“Oh yeah?” I took a step toward her, towering over her small frame. “I’m trying to protect you. It’s not safe for you to be on your own.”

“Then have one of your guards watch over me!” She gestured with her hand and let it fall to her side in frustration. “It wouldn’t be the first time.”

“No one can protect you better than me. Nothing will happen to you as long as I am with you.”

She scoffed, her eyes rolling with contempt. “Protect me?” She glared at me, waking up my dick. “Look how well that turned out the last time.”

I clenched my jaw, my patience wearing thinner by the second. “I said I was fucking sorry. What the hell do you want from me?” I shouted.

“I need you to get the hell out of my way!” She shoved past me, but I wasn't letting her go that easily. I grabbed her arm, pulling her back toward me. “I said no.”

Gigi struggled against my grip. “Let go of me.”

Fuck me. She was sexy as hell when she was angry. She looked like she was ready to string me up by my balls.

“You’re not leaving.” I tightened my hold. “And if you keep pushing me, there will be consequences.”

Her eyes narrowed into slits, and before I knew it, she reached for the gun that was tucked in my back of my waistband. With lightning speed, she pointed it at my heart. “Get. Off. Me.”

My eyes flicked to the gun. “Put the gun down, Angel. You don’t even know how to shoot it,” I said, releasing her arm.

A smirk played on her lips, her long lashes batting innocently. “Are you sure about that?”

A pop went off, and I felt searing pain in my arm. “What the fuck!” I cursed.

Demon’s barks echoed from the other side of the door.

“Don’t be such a baby. It was just a graze.”

Looking at my arm, I knew she was right, but it still pissed me off.

I took a menacing step forward, and she raised the gun again, her finger on the trigger. With a swift move, I grabbed her wrist, disarmed her, and threw the gun to the floor.

Heavy footsteps pounded up the stairs, and Lo’s voice boomed, “We heard a gunshot!”

Matteo joined in. “What the hell is going on?”

“It’s under control!” I shouted back, my eyes locked on the defiant woman before me. “Just a misunderstanding.”

Laughter and retreating footsteps followed. “Try not to kill each other.”

I couldn’t promise that, so I said nothing in response.

I advanced toward her, my bloody hand gripping her throat, pulling her closer to my face, my anger mixing with desire.

“You made a big mistake, Angel,” I snarled. “I’m going to fuck you hard enough you’ll wish the bullet hit your intended target—my heart.”

My tongue traced her cheek, my lips claiming her chin, and my teeth sank into her soft skin, eliciting a cry. She grasped my wrist, her fingers digging into my flesh as I reveled in the pain.

“Without my consent?” she spat, disgust swimming in her golden orbs.

I tightened my hold. “I’m not going to fucking rape you, Gigi.” My voice was laced with fury as I spoke, my breath hot against her skin. “I’m going to erase those fuckers’ touch from your body. Because the only hands that will caress your skin are mine. The only lips that will claim your mouth are mine.” I ran my tongue over her lower lip. “And the only dick that will take your cunt will be mine.”
