Mate.
Give.
Love.
Kisses.
I pulled away from Vorzak again.“No, seriously. What are you telling me?”
He shook his head.“I didn’t say anything, mate.I was too busy kissing you.”
I saw no twinkle in his eyes, no indication that he was teasing me, so I pulled him back down for another kiss. This time I kept my eyes open.
Pretty. One of The Hissies darted to the right of us, hovering at my right temple.
Mate.Another Hissy at my left temple.
Loves.A Hissy came over my shoulder to nudge my chin on the right.
Hissies.Another did the same to my chin on the left.
Kissies. The final Hissy slid over the top of Vorzak’s head to drop down between us, where he hovered right in front of our eyes.
I burst into laughter.
Vorzak’s eyes flew open, offense written all over him.
“Your snakes are hilarious,” I told him.
Hissies.
Want.
Kissies.
Too.
Please.
Oh, my goddess, they were adorable.
“Well, come here, then,” I told them and as they darted in between Vorzak and me, I dropped a trio of kisses on each adorable head.
Apparently, that wasn’t enoughkissiesfor them, though, because once I’d kissed all five, they just started darting in for another round.
They were about to come in for a third round, but Vorzak’s hand snapped out and he caught the first Hissy in his grasp.“That’s enough kisses for you lot,” he said.“It’smyturn, now.”
With that, he released The Hissy and dragged me close to kiss me ravenously again.
Long, delicious moments swept by as we rolled across the bed, kissing and loving the morning away.
After an intense bout of lovemaking that left me utterly satiated and completely breathless, I gasped, “You didn’t tell me that would happen.”
“What?”Vorzak rasped.“That we’d be practically combustible?I think that’s a given between mates.”
“Not that,” I said impatiently.“That I’d be able to hear The Hissies once we were mated.”I was so thrilled, I couldn’t stop petting them.
Their soft rumbles of contentment that continuously rolled through my mind had me so happy, I could barely contain myself.
