Page 105 of Masked in Deception
When Ledger found out we were having twins, his excitement lasted all of ten seconds before he realized his best friend puttwobabies in his woman and punched a hole through the wall.Thenhe realized that woman was his sister and punched Jack. The two of them have basically declared a breeding war against each other, not that I mind. I’ve always wanted a big family, so the more, the merrier.
Ledger finally gives up his dream of a little SJ and “Wait, did you say Flynn? The F is forFlynn? All this time I thought it stood forfucker.Especially after you knocked up my damn sister.”
“Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny,” Jack says, with a clap between each for emphasis. The gleam in his eye turns more devious by the second. “It actually stands for ‘fucked her so good it’s twins,’ so.”
“Here we go again,” Sloane mumbles under her breath as she finally gets up off the floor to distract her husband with kisses as I slap mine across the chest for egging him on.
“Alright, alright, let’s eat before dinner gets cold,” Mom says, leading the pack of us to the dining room with LJ in hand.
Ledger isn’t fuming anymore, but he’s still side-eyeing Jack like prey when I wrap him up in a bear hug. “I love you, brother,”I say, kissing him on the cheek before going to sit next to mybrand-newhusband at the dining table.
Mom is at one end of the table with Henry on the other. LJ sits between Mom and Sloane and a glance reveals the three matching high chairs against the wall behind him. Ledger sits across from me with his arm behind his wife. And Jack is as close to me as he can get with a hand on my swollen womb. I put my hand over Jack’s and look around the table at our growing family, realizing I really did get everything I ever wanted.
