Page 120 of Love Me in the Dark
“Yeah, I’m perfect.”
That was all he needed to hear. Slade rocked his hips up. I wasn’t sure how there was more of me to fill but he managed it. With his hands on my hips, he helped me slide up and down his length. I thought he’d rush me after the way he’d been fighting himself, but Slade kept the pace I was comfortable setting. I had no idea what I was doing, but as heat started to spread from the tips of my toes that were wedged in the cool sand up to the base of my spine, I knew I’d never get enough of this with him. Especially the way his gorgeous eyes were locked on mine like I was the most precious thing in the world.
“I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to last,” he hissed out. His face scrunched in concentration. “I need you to come. Do you think you can?”
I nodded franticly, hoping I would. It wasn’t painful like most girls let it on to be. Yes, there was a pinch of pain in the beginning, but every stroke and touch by the man below me soothed the hurt until all I could feel was bliss.
One hand dipped between our bodies and met my throbbing clit. That was all I needed to send me over the edge. Euphoria shot through me unlike anything I’d ever felt before. I thought my fingers were all I needed to get myself off, but not after that day. I knew I’d need every inch of Slade to feel anything close to the way he was making me feel in that moment.
“Slade,” I whimpered and gasped as my body clasped around his. My fingernails digging into his shoulders as I rode my high.
I came down to Slade placing tiny kisses across my collarbone. “Welcome back,” he murmured against my overheated skin.
Wrapping my arms around his neck, I leaned my forehead to his. “Thank you.”
“Why are you thanking me? I would be the one thanking you for giving me something I had no right in taking.” His face clouded over, and he closed his eyes. “I should have prepared you. Instead, I…”
“I’m perfecting fine. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect first time, and I’m glad it’s with you.” Pressing my lips to his I let him feel how true my words were as I swept my tongue alongside his.
I wasn’t sure how much time past before we broke apart panting. Slade pressed my body further into his if that was even possible. “You’re never getting rid of my now.”
“Good, I don’t want to.” I hugged him tighter. “When I was forced to move here, I never thought I’d find happiness let alone my forever. But you’re it, Slade. I know we’re still young, and I also thought the saying you know when you know was cliche, but it’s true in my case.” I only hoped he felt the same way. “Thank you for saving me even when I didn’t want to be saved.”
“I’ll never stop saving you.”
And he never did.
Slade was my savior from the first moment I met him, and he kept saving me day after day until his last dying breath, and then some.
