Story: Love in the Dark
Cut short
After sleeping most of the day away, the sun is setting as Azazel and Cherrie stroll hand-in-hand through the quaint streets of a small little town. The glow of the fading day casts a warm hue over the charming shops and cafes lining the cobblestone pathway. It’s the perfect evening for a romantic dinner, and the couple is eager to indulge in the fine dining experience that Azazel has promised.
They found themselves in a charming, small restaurant. The lighting was dim, the music soft – perfect for a relaxed evening. After settling into their table, they shared a look before glancing at the menus. They ordered a bottle of wine to start, and soon enough, their meals arrived, filling the air with tempting scents.
Azazel ordered a rare steak, cooked to perfection, while Cherrie had chosen a seafood platter, a delicacy she adored. They dig in with gusto, savoring the flavors and textures of the expertly prepared dishes.
However, midway through their meal, Cherrie's demeanor changes abruptly. Her eyes widen, and her face pales as she places her hand over her mouth. "Azazel, I don't feel so good," she manages to say before her chair clatters to the floor, her eyes rolling back in her head as she faints. Azazel springs into action, his instincts kicking in. He catches Cherrie before she hits the ground, gently lowering her onto the floor and cradling her in his arms. "Cherrie, baby, can you hear me?" he asks, his voice laced with concern. The waiter rushes over, eyes wide with panic. "Is there a doctor in the house?" he shouts, his voice echoing through the now-silent restaurant.
Azazel glares at the waiter, his eyes cold and menacing. "Get me some water, now!" he snapped, his tone brooking no argument. The waiter scurries away, returning moments later with a glass of water, which Azazel splashes on Cherrie's face. She stirs, groaning softly as she begins to regain consciousness.
"Baby, what happened? Are you okay?" Azazel asks, his voice a mix of worry and tenderness as while strokes her cheek.
Cherrie blinks, her blue eyes focusing on Azazel's concerned face. "Azazel... What... what happened?" she mumbles, confusion clouding her features. "You fainted, baby," Azazel explains, his voice soft and reassuring. "But you're okay now. You're safe with me. Let's get you to the hospital.”
