Thanksgiving Day

Topher attempts to tackle Riko, but he’s unsuccessful, especially when Eloise teams up with Riko instead of her brother. Dad is saying something, but I’m amused by the show Riko and the kids are putting on.

“Linda said to give you one of these,” Minjun says as he hands a beer to me and sits in the lawn chair beside me. “They kicked me out of the kitchen.”

Dad, grateful for someone to talk to who will actually pay attention, also accepts a beer from Riko’s father before launching into world events that don’t interest me.

My eyes track Riko wherever he goes.

Now, the kids have given up wrestling and Riko is back to showing them tricks. A few geese waddle over to them, honking in warning. Topher tries to catch one and when they run straight for him, he screams like his sister. Riko cracks up laughing and I smile.

“…the wedding cake…”

I snap out of my Riko haze and whip my head over to look at Minjun. “What?”

Dad throws up a hand in the air and sighs. “Riko, Riko, Riko. That’s all you care about.”

He acts like he’s mad, but I know both my parents love him too and are pleased I’ve finally found happiness.

“Are you talking about the wedding?” I ask, ignoring Dad’s jabs.

“The women are,” Minjun says as he gestures to our townhouse. “Debbie wants to make the cake, especially since you mentioned it before, but Rose has concerns.”

I groan and shake my head. “Mom has concerns because she’s not used to someone else taking charge of the cooking. Hopefully she lets Debbie do what she wants. Debbie’s an even better cook than Riko and that’s saying something.”

“Your mother did our neighbor’s wedding cake,” Dad reminds me. “Maybe they can do it together.”

Honestly, I don’t care if we order one from the grocery store. All I care about is there is going to be a wedding and our families are just as excited as we are.

It’s so fucking strange to be honest.

Who knew me getting with a man would completely change my life? But it did, and the best part of it all is, somehow, it brought Riko closer to his parents which I know he’s secretly grateful for.

“I tried to put my two cents in, Bill,” Minjun says to my dad. “They told me to leave.”

I smirk with amusement. Minjun, a man who runs his multi-million dollar company with an iron fist, always yields when it comes to his wife and what she wants.

“Are they almost done with the food?” I ask, squinting to see through the sliding glass door where the women are moving around in the kitchen. “Maybe I should go help, or at the very least, referee.”

Minjun takes a long swig of his beer and shakes his head. “That’s what Linda’s for. She’s been playing mediator. We’ll only get in the way.”

Eloise squeals and we all look to see what she’s excited about. I smile when I see a butterfly on top of her head. Slowly, she walks toward us.

“Derek, take a picture! Hurry!”

I pull out my phone and take a picture. Dad and Minjun gush over her new little friend. My father regales her about what type of butterfly it is and far too many unnecessary facts about it.

“They have a butterfly exhibit not far from where my work is,” Minjun tells Eloise. “Riko can bring you up one day and we can go check it out together.”

Eloise nods happily and then watches with a big grin on her face when it flies away. Both Dad and Minjun look at her proudly, as if she did something praiseworthy.

Riko, heaving from exertion from playing with the kids, drops down into my lap. With his weight, we nearly capsize. I hug him to me, inhaling his sweaty scent.

“Our moms are fighting about the cake,” I tell him, nuzzling his shoulder. “Our dads are staying out of it.”

Riko laughs. “Maybe I should tell them our favorite bakery is going to make it instead.”

“Don’t do that,” Dad and Minjun both say at once.

“Boring,” Riko grumbles playfully. “I’m fucking starving. When will the food be done.”

“Language,” Minjun chides and then shrugs. “It’ll be done when it gets done. We are to stay out of the way and entertain the kiddos.”

Eloise is doing cartwheels and Topher is trying to catch a frog. They’re entertaining themselves. But I get it. We won’t get in trouble out here.

“I should go check on my pie,” Riko says as he attempts to move.

“Your mom will make sure it doesn’t burn.” I tighten my grip around him. “You’re good right here. Stay.”

He relaxes against me. Dad winks at me and Minjun flashes a warm smile at us.

I’m content as can be listening to Riko and our dads talk with the kids laughing in the background. Eventually, we’re called inside to eat. With everyone crammed in our small place, I can’t help but be filled with an overwhelming feeling of love.

This is what I was missing.

With Riko, all these pieces slotted into place. Our families fit together well, despite the wedding cake war, and we’ve even swept in Linda and the kids into our fold. It’s fucking awesome.

I stand out of the way as everyone talks over each other while they get their food.

Outside, I notice Casey and Brayden with the stroller.

My chest warms at seeing them. Once Casey got over the initial shock of our relationship, she was able to see how much me and Riko loved each other.

Knowing we were serious about each other must have settled her in some way because a few days after the blowup, she invited us over for dinner. And we went.

They see me staring and they both wave. I wave back. Her belly is more prominent than when I saw her last. Soon, they’ll have another little one.

Eloise sidles up beside me and hands me a roll. “I stole you one since they’re crowding them. Riko says you love bread.”

I pat her red head and accept the roll. “Bread is the best.”

“Mom says I can only eat one roll with dinner,” Eloise says with a pout. “So I am eating one now for an appetizer.” She grins at me with a mouthful of buttery bread. “Don’t tattle on me.”

“Never.” I wink at her.

She skips off and I watch her fondly. The kids used to annoy me but since Riko adores them, I have thawed toward them. They’re actually pretty cool and they love coming over whenever their mom lets them which is often.

Riko appears out of nowhere with a huge plate full of food. “This is for you, Dere-Dere. You’re too patient. I made sure you got fed first.” He pecks me on the lips and then saunters away to make his own plate.

That man loves feeding me every chance he gets. It’s why I’ve had to put in more runs during the week with Reid and Cole. If I’m not careful, it’ll catch up to me.

After everyone gets their food and settles at one of the tables set up in our living room, Linda asks if she can pray over the food. Our families are silent for all of thirty seconds and the moment she finishes, it’s chaos again.

Debbie chooses to sit beside me and then proceeds to flip through her phone to show me her “previous work.” The cakes are beautiful and impressive, but I know my mom won’t go down without a fight. I hope they can figure out a way to work together.

Later, when everyone finally leaves, I curl around my naked man and kiss him slowly.

“Today was fun,” he says, running his fingers along my scalp. “Don’t you think?”

“Every day is fun with you.”

He preens, beaming at me. “And are our dads becoming besties? They exchanged numbers.”

“Probably teaming up to keep our mothers from fist fighting.”

Riko snorts at that. “Debbie Downer would never. She might break a nail!”

“Rose is a brawler,” I say with a one-shouldered shrug. “She once told off a lady at church for ‘making eyes at her husband.’ Took her earrings off and everything. Dad had to drag her out of there while she threw out threats at the poor woman.”

He laughs. “Why is this so entertaining to me? It totally is. Your mom is a badass.”

“Please don’t tell her. She’ll bedazzle herself a shirt or some shit. We don’t need some elderly lady running around with a shirt that brags about her badassery.”

“Ohhh, but we do! Maybe she’ll make me a matching one!” He tries to reach for his phone on the night stand. “I’m ordering her a bedazzle kit right now!”

I drag him back over to me, stopping the incoming shit show. “Fuck no. You’ll be a good boy or I’ll be forced to spank your sexy little ass.”

His grin turns devilish. “We both know I’m going to order it. May as well get my punishment over now.”

He cries out in surprise when I forcefully roll him over onto his stomach. Then, reverently, I stroke his smooth ass cheek. A shiver of anticipation rattles through him shaking the bed.

Pop!

“Wait! Fucking ow! Dere—”

Pop!

He whines and squirms. “I thought this would feel good! It hurts!”

“It’s called punishment,” I growl, squeezing a handful of his reddened ass cheek. “We both know your cock is hard as fuck.”

Since he’s grinding his hips against the bed, I know I’m right.

“Don’t I at least get a safe word?” he demands.

“Nope.”

“Psychopath.”

“You love it.” I smack him hard again, laughing when he curses at me. “Admit it.”

He squirms and shakes his head. “Nope. This sucks.”

“What’s that?” I croon as I massage his butt again. “You want to suck what?”

“If it gets me out of this spanking, I’ll suck whatever you want.”

“Even my big hairy toe?”

Riko cackles with laughter. “Fuck no. You’re a sicko.”

“I’d suck on your toe,” I say with a faux pout. “I’d lick your armpit if I thought you might like it.”

“For the record,” Riko says in exasperation, “I do not want my toes or armpits licked. Why are you so obsessed with me?”

“Why not?”

His argument dies when I get my face between his ass cheeks. I love watching him writhe in pleasure as I tongue his sexy hole. This man has the most beautiful ass in existence. Some days I wish I could stay buried here, licking and sucking and biting.

“Want my tongue inside you?” I rumble as I tease the tight ring.

“No,” he rasps out. “I want you to fuck me now. Please.”

I tease him for a few more seconds before grabbing the lube.

With one hand gripping my now-slick cock, I ease into his tight channel.

He moans and attempts to push his ass up to encourage me to go deeper.

Since that’s what he’s desperate for, I thrust hard until I’m balls deep, loving the scream that rips from his lungs.

God, he is so fucking loud.

Linda said she’s heard us a time or two. I’m thankful it’s her room closest to mine than the one the kids share. That shit would be embarrassing as hell.

Pushing all thoughts except Riko, Riko, Riko, I make love roughly to the man I love.

He grips the sheets and moans against the mattress as I pound into him.

I want to kiss his perfect mouth, but I settle for tonguing the side of his neck and earlobe.

Each time I suck on his ear, his ass clenches around my cock making me see stars.

We fuck multiple times, late into the night, since I actually have a day off tomorrow. It’s crazy to think this man will always be here. I get to love Riko Valentine forever and that’s just fucking amazing.

He’s loud.

He’s hot.

He’s mine.
