Page 8 of Kiss of Deceit
“I’m taking my break,” Kole said loudly, still rubbing my clit.
“I’m swamped out here,” the woman said, annoyance in her voice. “And since when do you take breaks locked in the pantry?”
“Fuck off, Adella,” Kole responded gruffly. “You can handle the bar for ten minutes.”
The woman muttered something I couldn’t hear before her shadow retreated from under the crack of the door. Kole immediately brought his head back between my thighs, his teeth grazing my clit, making me buck against him.
“Fuck,” he cursed. “You taste so goddamn good.”
He trailed his tongue around my pussy before sucking on my clit hard enough for me to abandon touching my nipples and grasping the bars of the metal shelves. His grip on me tightened when I squirmed, the pleasure becoming almost too much.
My orgasm exploded, and a hoarse scream tore from my throat as the waves of pleasure rolled through me. He didn’t stop sucking and licking, prolonging my orgasm. My mind was in a daze as I came down, my body more relaxed than I’d felt in years. For a few moments anyway. Until my rational thoughts slammed back into me.
What the hell was I doing? I was here to focus on the internship, and my first day here, I’m letting a complete stranger get me off? I was always cautious. Getting to know every single person who I let into my life. Without realizing it, I tensed, my heart pounding as I slid my leg off his shoulder.
He stayed still for a second before standing up and turning around. My eyes tracked his movements through the dark as he reached down and grabbed my jeans before tossing them to me.
“That’s it?” I blurted out in surprise. “You don’t want to have sex?”
I wasn’t sure I wanted to, but I had been positive he did.
“My break’s over,” he muttered, moving toward the wall with the light switch. I darted forward, stopping him.
“Don’t,” I hissed, not wanting him to get a glimpse of my scars. “Keep the lights off.”
I could feel his questioning stare but ignored it as I went to the freezer and snatched up my bra and sweater. The silence wasn’t exactly awkward, but I was ready to get the hell out of here. If he didn’t want to fuck, then why the hell was he waiting for me to get dressed? After slipping my sweater back on, I reached inside my jeans before squinting at the floor, searching for my underwear.
“I can’t find my?—”
“I’m keeping them,” he cut me off.
My jaw dropped. “My underwear?”
“You stole my ice cream—I’m keeping your panties. Even trade, I think.”
I bit my tongue, not wanting to stay here longer to argue with him about keeping my damn underwear.
“You still had some on your lips. I could taste it,” he said in a low voice. “Although your pussy was much more delicious than the chocolate.”
My face heated, and I was grateful for the darkness as I pulled my jeans back on. He was leaning against the door, watching me as I crossed my arms.
“Don’t you have to go back to work?” I bit out.
“Where are you working for your internship?” he asked, completely changing the subject.
“That’s none of your business.”
He chuckled. “I’ll find out. This town is too small for people to keep secrets.”
“Why do you care?” I retorted. “After tonight, I’m not coming back here.”
“Sure.”
With that word, he finally spun around and opened the door, leaving me alone in the pantry. After smoothing my hair, I slowly counted to a hundred, hoping there was no one in the hall. I didn’t need gossip about me hooking up with the bartender to be circling. I peeked out the door, not seeing anyone as I hurried down the hall.
I passed the bar counter, purposely not looking even though I could feel his stare on my back. Miles gave me a curious smile as I got closer, and I returned it before making an excuse to leave.
“Leaving already?” Miles asked in clear disappointment.
