I shudder as he pulls out, aftershocks cascading over me.

His footsteps pad against the rug next to the bed as he disappears into his ensuite to deal with the condom, then returns to the bed. He climbs in beside me and positions us so I’m the little spoon. “Give me your hand.”

I’m all floppy and satisfied and my brain is still in a bit of a haze, so I do as he says without thinking.
