“ T ie her down on the table.”
My heart beats wildly as I listen with bated breath through the coms that Demon and Jez are wearing. A sickening crunch echoes through my headphones, followed by a loud grunt.
“You fucking touch he?—”
Another thud cracks in my eardrums as I listen to the carnage on the other end of the line.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk, Mark,” a deep voice says. “You and your little whore fucked with the wrong people. I knew you wouldn’t be able to resist coming face-to-face with me and that you wouldn’t bring your little motorcycle club. You’re too embarrassed.”
“I’m gonna fucking kill you,” Demon bellows.
“You and what army?” the man taunts. “There are ten of us and only two of you. I’d also like to point out that your girl over there is in no shape to help you.”
“Don’t fucking talk to him!” Jez screams.
Thank God, she’s okay… for now.
“Let’s have some fun, shall we?” the man says evilly.
“Diabla, what do we do?” Jinx asks hysterically.
“We need to call Phantom,” Loki cries.
“I’m going to reach out to Fort and Lock.” I fire up the program to hack into the club’s computers so I can send a message, knowing that Fort will see someone infiltrating his system.
Me: S.O.S
Fort: Who is this? Jez?
Me: Diabla, we have a problem.
Fort: What’d you little hackers do now?
Me: Not us, Demon and Jez.
Fort: What the fuck is going on?
My phone rings, and I hesitate for a brief moment when I see Soul’s name flash across the screen.
“Sou—”
“Where the fuck are my sister and Demon?” Soul yells into the phone.
“I don’t have time to explain.” I bring up the address of where Demon and Jez are being held and forward it to his phone.
“Make time,” he commands, his tone leaving no room for argument.
“I sent you the coordinates to their location,” I say. “Move your asses. From what I’m hearing, Jez is tied down on a table, and Demon is getting the shit kicked out of him. They’re seriously outnumbered.”
“Fuck!” Soul roars and pulls the phone away from his mouth. “Malice, your brother and Jez are in trouble. Get everyone ready to ride now!”
“I’m gonna kill them!” Malice bellows. “What were they thinking going off on their own?”
“Soul, I have to go,” I state, panic tearing through my insides. “I can’t be distracted, and I need to listen to what’s going on so I can direct you if something changes.”
“Go, but we’ll be talking about this later.” He disconnects the call, and I return to the team.
“The cavalry is on their way,” I whisper to Demon and Jez through their coms. “Hold on, you two.”
“That’s good,” Bela says quietly. “But will they be too late?”
I close my eyes and listen to the screams coming from Demon and Jez.
I fucking hope not!
