“I couldn’t face another Friday night playing socialist Monopoly. I reached a breaking point.”

She sipped her wine and tried not to laugh. “I hear you.”

“But I bought a new game to replace it, and I think you and Finn are gonna love it.”

“Oh?”

“Yep. It’s a cooperative board game where you go foraging for nuts and berries and work together to survive in the wilderness.”

“At least as applicable as learning to build hotels to maximize the value of your real estate holdings.”

“I can’t wait until Fiona turns this game on its head and starts selling the herb poultices to the highest bidder.”

“Mommy, Daddy, the pizza’s getting cold!”

“We’re coming,” he called back.

She took a deep breath and counted to four before exhaling. “Just for that, you’re on Finn’s team.”
