"Sure, sure, obviously, even playing the intro is amazing, I’m on board."

When I end the call with Eric, I turn to Alex and let out a loud scream of joy.

"Sound Fest!"

Alex starts jumping like crazy, leaps onto the bed, and bounces upward, and we go wild across the whole room, jumping like lunatics. What news. Wow.

"This is insane, Bay, you don’t get it, this could be your breakthrough, you could finally break into the mainstream…"

I press my hands to my hot cheeks, still out of breath from excitement.

"This is so damn good, seriously, maybe I should actually hire Eric, because if he can get me into events like this, then damn, that’s not bad at all…"

Alex nods. "Think about it, everything points to him having some serious connections."

Finally, breathless, we both stop and flop onto the bed, lying there for a moment before I say,

"Oh, Alex. I’m so happy with you… you pulled me out of the darkness, you’re everything to me." The words just burst out of me.

Alex turns onto one elbow, his flushed, beautiful face leaning over mine.

But I surge upward and roll toward him, now I’m the one lying on top of him.

I whisper with passion, "Everything was swallowed by darkness, everything was chaos, I had nothing, not even a shadow of hope, but you gave me all of it back, and even more… I don’t know if anyone but you could have given me that space to heal."

His breathing is still fast from all the jumping, his full sweet lips curve into a soft smile.

I have to lean down and brush them with mine, they’re warm and soft and a shiver runs through me.

"And you gave me sex, and that’s a gift you can’t overestimate. You broke the curse. Your patience and love… all my problems in that regard disappeared."

"I never noticed any problems between us in that regard," he says with a playful wink.

I smile mischievously. "That’s because of how you affect me. Your magic does that. When I’m close to you, when I touch your smooth skin, nothing else exists. You make that happen."

I hesitate and then confess, "Only when you touch me do I feel anything. When you don’t, nothing excites me. Nothing. I don’t even jerk off. There’s only you, do you understand?"

Alex lifts his hands, his fingertips glide gently over my face and down to my lips, and we look into each other’s eyes, sinking into them.

"And nothing else exists for me either, Bay, just us, just you and me."

One of his hands slips to the back of my head, the other moves lower along my spine and pulls me against him tightly, firmly.

I lower myself over his flushed face, his big eyes framed by long lashes watching me, and oh, that look, there is always something flirtatious in it, some promise, some sweet secret I’m desperate to uncover. Then I brush my lips against his; they tastelike strawberries, and his tongue immediately finds its way into my mouth, twining with mine.

It’s like sinking into a pink cloud of marshmallow sweetness, a place you never want to leave, but Alex is like that in every way.

His skin, his scent make my head spin, I trail my mouth down his neck, over his still-slumbering glands, both marked with my bite. I carry the same marks, and when I’m close to him everything in me turns hungry and wild and demands to keep him with me forever.

First, I press a gentle kiss to the delicate tendons of his neck, then suck hard on one of his glands. A soft, pleased sigh escapes him, I know how much Alex loves gland play, so I give him what he craves, but I’m not stopping there.

I move to the other gland, lavishing it with attention, but I feel there’s something I need to say. So I lift my lips to his ear, the tip of my tongue tracing the edge of his earlobe before I whisper,

"Since we’ve been together, I haven’t betrayed you with a single thought, Alex. Not a single one."

Every word is true. No one else can turn me on, only Alex. He’s the only exception in this entire damn universe.

A strange, satisfied smile spreads across his face, almost smug…
