P ria smiled after she finished her meal. “Remind me to thank Ysell. She caught on to the issue right away.”

“She actually just wanted to show you the village. She didn’t know you were blind with hunger.”

Pria looked at Riro. “I identified the most edible citizens on the way there.”

“Oh. Right. That could have been concerning.”

“I should have gone back in the water.”

“No, you should have done what you did. You told Cabree what you needed, and she brought it.”

He lifted her and set her on his lap. “I can’t believe I almost missed your gills opening.”

“It was just me breathing and then that bright kaboom.”

“Yes, that bright kaboom was your official greeting to the ocean. You should have been naked to do it properly.”

“Will the ocean be offended?”

He chuckled. “We can make up for that lapse by swimming naked, a lot.”

“That will be fun for the tourists.”

He laughed. “They come every two weeks. I am also upset that I didn’t see you water dance.”

“If you find a quiet spot, I can do that naked as well.”

“Cabree told me that I should ask you to folk dance.”

“Oh, that’s a land thing.”

He kissed her neck. “Can you give me a hint?”

“Look up Sethir folk dance.”

He lifted his hand and looked it up. He was very still and nodded a little. “It’s very pretty.”

“Now look at Krefal Sethir folk dance.”

He did and said, “That’s different.”

“Well, dating isn’t a thing back home, so you have to dance to find a partner. The guys have their own version.”

“And you can dance like that?”

“Sure. Cabree has some footage. She taught me to couples’ dance, and I tried to teach her some of the folk dancing, but her lower back was aching by then.”

He kept watching. “Yeah, it would. If I get you these clothes, or an island version of it, would you dance for me?”

“Folk dancing is a public thing.”

“Give me a few years before the thought of it doesn’t drive me mad.”

She smiled. “The novelty will wear thin.”

“I don’t think so.”

“We will see.”

“Cabree wishes to see you. She wants help shopping for a house on the island.”

She blinked. “I don’t know anything about that.”

“I think she just wants you there so Denog doesn’t keep her locked in a room all day.”

“Oh. That I can do.” She tried to get off his lap, but he kept his arms around her. “Riro, let me up.”

He chuckled. “At least you didn’t call me Roil again.”

“What? That was your call sign.”

“Yes, but it didn’t mean I liked it. Well, I didn’t, until you added ‘Master’ to it. Then, I was a major fan.”

“Master and apprentice are common titles.”

“Call me master and say my name.”

She twisted and put a hand on his chest. “Master Riro?”

He kissed her savagely and held her head with a fist in her hair.

Pria was startled, but when he whispered his need, she nodded, and her damp underwear was no longer a concern. It disappeared.

She would have laughed, but the kiss was intense, and the pleasant heat of the first time was blazed over in bright fire that burned through her body.

His hands moved over her, and she tried to let her senses keep up, but she gave up and just welcomed him. When he slid into her, she cried out, arching back, and he thrust deep and fast until he shuddered and groaned her name.

She was disappointed until he pulled out, flipped her to her belly, and drew her up on her knees.

He was back inside and thudding against her while the head of his cock moved against a sensitive spot that had her quivering and flinching as the small shocks of sensation came faster and faster until she screamed and tried to buck him off as her body jerked and twitched.

He kept moving inside her and kept every twitch and shiver going until she flattened to the floor.

She twisted at the waist and looked at him. “Really? At breakfast?”

He grinned, sweat slicking his skin. “Absolutely.”

She sighed and asked, “Are you going to leave me?”

He chuckled. “Withdraw? Yes. Leave you? Of course not.”

She blushed and looked at him, “I am not at an angle to accomplish it.”

He leaned forward and petted her slippery back. He grinned. “I know.”

He reluctantly backed away and withdrew, pulling her back into his arms as he lifted her again. “Best morning ever since the day we were first introduced.”

She frowned. “Pardon if my question breaks the mood.”

“Go for it. I think we can find it again.”

She smiled. “Why aren’t you an alpha?”

“Oh, because of my father? Well, my mother’s genes are stronger than that. If I had been an alpha, I would have been stuck at Hyreno or the Sethir alpha school. It wasn’t necessary because I am not. See what I did there?”

She laughed. “When I first met you, you were all moody and dark. You were helpful, but you scowled all the time.”

“I was realizing I was going to be stuck staring at you in that bodysuit for the three years of your apprenticeship before I made a move. It was frustrating as hell.”

“Oh. We made it eighteen months.”

He sighed. “Yes.” He gripped her thigh. “Every move you made was torture, and combat was difficult as hell. It’s hard to be in a guard suit with an erection.”

“Oh, that’s never happened to me.”

Riro tapped her nose. “I am glad of it. It would have made for a slightly different sex position.”

She grinned, and he kissed her again. She slid her hand to his neck and returned the kiss with more confidence than before.

She heard, “Pria! There’s a woman here who says she knows you.”

Cabree’s tone had been excited.

“A lot of people know me.”

“Yeah, but they don’t have purple hair and crimson eyes.”

Pria’s eyes got wide, she kissed Riro, and jumped away from him, ignoring the second trail of the day.

“Vesta? Is it Vesta?”

Cabree took her hand, and they ran to the beach, where a woman was standing and looking at the ocean.

Pria stepped closer to the woman’s back.

“I knew it would be ocean for you. I am so happy for you, Pria.”

The woman turned, and Pria saw her older sister. Two years and so much space and experience separated them, but the face was the woman from the rehab centre. “Kes.”

“Sure. That’s one name.”

“Vesta?”

“Yeah, that is the one that lets me breathe now. Crimson is another name.”

“Like your eyes.”

“Yes, little sis. Now, go clean up the cum on your thigh one way or another.” Vesta waved at the ocean.

Pria giggled, hiked up her skirt, and waded in until the surf washed her thighs. This might not be meeting the ocean naked, but it was pretty close.

When she walked back to Vesta, she took in her grey clothing and ornate bracelets and necklace. “Those are pretty.”

Vesta smiled. “Thank you.”

Pria reached out to touch her wrist, and the metal felt like ice. “Oh. I thought it would be warm.”

“I don’t feel it anymore, and I can work around them.”

“Why don’t you just take them off?”

Riro walked up and stared at her. “Crimson.”

“Yup. That’s me, Roil. Or I can call you Riro, and you can call me Vesta.”

He smiled slightly. “You are her sister.”

“I am.” She smiled. “When did you first mate?”

Pria blushed. “We started things this morning.”

“In that case, you two go and have a swim, and I will see if I can find something less obvious.”

Cabree’s eyes lit up. “I have learned to shop. I can help.”

“Fine. Let’s go.”

They turned and walked away, and Riro stripped them both before holding her against him as he walked into the ocean. “This is how you were always supposed to meet the ocean.”

“What?”

“With me.”

She giggled, and he walked deeper and dove, and she let the air leave her lungs before water rushed into her gills.

Now we can communicate more effectively.

We can? She paused and then swam in happy circles. We can.

So, your elder sister is Crimson? That is frightening.

Why?

She’s an assassin. She’s also very effective.

Even with that jewellery?

It isn’t adornment. It’s been grafted to her. I have seen that pattern before, but she has managed to get away, which is surprising.

Where did you see that pattern? She frowned at him as she swam around him.

On a corpse. A woman had washed up in the capitol. He gave her a serious look.

Oh. Vesta’s getting a hug when we are back on the surface.

He nodded and held out his hand. She floated to him, ignoring the sealife that was darting around them.

He pulled her against him, and he used water pressure to keep her in position as he worked into her. Sex underwater is tricky, but I think we can manage it. You are still slick from the house.

She would have blushed, but she didn’t have time, so she used her water and bound them together while he gripped her hips and began to thrust.

She locked her arms and legs around him as he created the friction, and they moved themselves around under the ocean surface.

* * * *

V esta smiled at the dress that Cabree frowned at. “That? It doesn’t show much.”

Vesta said, “I am not looking to show anything. This is my sister’s new home. I have come to bring her a bridal gift.”

“What did you get her?”

“Security. I tried to get it to her while she was in the suit, but lawyers were circling to grab any funds she had. Now the funds are more, so that should help her feel like she’s in control of her life.

” The grey and black dress was breezy, but it covered her to the elbows and to the toes in one length of fabric.

She folded her clothing, rolled it up, and put it in her small pack.

“You travel light.”

“I don’t need more. I work, I rest, I work again.” She looked to Cabree. “You are here without the father?”

“How do you know that?”

Vesta laughed. “You have touched your belly three times but aren’t looking around for anyone.”

“Denog had an emergency at his casino this morning.”

“I see. Is he out of sight yet?”

“No. You can see the yacht on the horizon.”

“Do you want him with you as fast as possible?”

“Yes.”

Vesta winked. “Back in five minutes. Have tea and some fruit, and watch the sunrise.”

Vesta stepped through her portal and was standing on the deck of the ship. The guards shouted, but she waited. “I need to speak to Denog.”

Denog walked onto the deck and said, “Who are you?”
