Page 46 of Hooked On Him
Nervously, I make my way over to him.
“Come here.” He pushes his seat back and grabs me around the waist, pulling me into his lap. He kisses my cheek, and I fucking melt. “Everyone, this is my boyfriend, Levi. Be nice,” Austin warns.
“Yeah. He's my little brother. Fuck with him, and I’ll kick your ass,” Charlie says, sitting at the next table over. He looks drunk. Like, out of it. But he’s smiling like he’s having the besttime, so I don’t worry about it and lean into Austin’s touch instead.
“Hey,” Cole pouts. “He’s my best friend.”
I smile, finding them ridiculous but sweet.
“Fuck you. He’s mine now.” Austin places his chin on my shoulder, his hands wrapping around my lower half.
My body shivers as he places a soft kiss on my neck, his fingers sliding under my coat and under the hem of the shirt, his cold fingers brushing against my lower belly.
Being here feels like home. Like being in Austin’s arms is where I’m meant to be.
Maybe this whole friends-with-benefits, fake-dating thing might be a good thing after all.
I’m going to have to take my boss's advice and enjoy more time off.
No, not time off, time with Austin.

Chapter 10
Austin
“Damn, Cade, you are on fire tonight,” Millton, one of my teammates, claps me on the back as we wrap up practice.
“Thanks,” I pant, a big grin splitting my face as I chug a bottle of water.
“Right? He’s been killing it at practice and games the past few weeks. Wonder what’s gotten into him?” Charlie laughs.
“Or who?” Cole wiggles his brows.
“Fuck you.” I laugh, squirting the bottle of water at Cole. He laughs as he dodges the spray.
“Okay, gross. Don’t wanna hear about my baby brother and his sex life, thanks.”
“Aww, poor baby.” Cole chuckles, wrapping his arm around Charlie’s shoulder. “You’re just pissy because you're not getting any.”
Charlie’s body stiffens, and he shoots Cole a glare.
“Fuck you,” Charlie mutters, shrugging him off.
“Why does everyone want to fuck me?” Cole chuckles. “I know I’m irresistible, but I’m a taken man, boys. Sorry.”
“So are we.” Charlie flips him off.
Things between Levi and me have progressed a lot since the night he came to my game.
We still grab coffee together in the morning, but now we meet up at lunch during the week in between classes too.
We’ve only gotten to hang out outside of school once since then because unfortunately, our schedules don't line up at the moment.
Last Wednesday, he didn’t have to work until later, so he came and sat with me and some of the guys while we had a few drinks.
The guys on my team love Levi. They think he’s cute, nice, and good for me. I just so happen to agree. Although the cute part, they could have left out. I think they say that shit to piss me off. It works. No one is allowed to call him cute but me.
