He leans over and kisses me on the cheek. “I have never brought a woman into my home.”
I’m shocked to hear this. I thought for sure he would have brought hundreds of girls here.
Riley looks around at the walls and smiles to herself. “This is a nice place you got here, Hawk.”
“How about you call me Evan if you want,” he tells her.
I’m completely shocked! I didn’t know if he had a first name or anything. The man is a completely mystery to me.
“Evan?” I question.
He winks. “Yeah. Evan.”
“I like it.”
He smirks. “Riley, how about you go up the stairs and the bedroom to the right of the stairs is going to be yours. There’s a bed in there.”
Why does a bachelor need a spare bedroom?
He must have read my mind. “Believe it or not, I do have parents.”
“I don’t know much about you,” I admit.
He circles his arms around my waist and pulls me close to his chest. “What would you like to know?”
“Your birthday, favorite color, favorite food, favorite show, favorite movie, do you smoke, do you drink… Uh, let’s see!”
He squeezes me tighter. “One question at a time! October fifth, blue, spaghetti, I like reruns of old shows, I don’t watch a lot of movies, I smoke pot and I do drink. Your turn.”
I smile at him. “July twenty-first, pink, I love spaghetti and all Italian food, I love stupid and trashy television shows, I love classic movies, I do not smoke and I do not drink.”
He winks. “Looks like we know a little more about each other. Here is how this is going to work. I don’t suspect you to sleep in the bed with me. I want you to, but I don’t expect it. I don’t expect you to be waiting on me hand and foot. I don’t want you to fuckin’ do anythin’ you don’t wanna do. I do need help at the tattoo parlor. But other than that, I really don’t care what you do.”
“You mean to tell me you don’t want to have sex with me?” I whisper flirty.
He thrusts his hips up and I can feel how hard he is on my lower stomach. The man is a god.
“That’s a good thing.”
And that night, after Riley was settled, Hawk, I mean Evan, proved to how good it was to live with him.
Four times.
