Orrey was not, despite his reluctance to sleep with a random Guardian upon meeting him, a man lacking in experience when it came to intimacy. It was, after all, a social skill like any other, and like most of his cohort, he had started experimenting and honing it.

Orrey had practiced kissing with both boys and girls, and those who fell somewhere between. He knew he was at least decent at it. He’d been told he was.

But when Senlas’s lips met Orrey’s… It was something else. There was tension and heat, a teasing way in which Senlas moved his lips and mouth in patterns Orrey didn’t anticipate. Orrey was surprised to find the bottom corner of his bottom lip licked, and instead of opening up to deepen the kiss in a coordinated way like he usually did, Orrey gasped.

Hegaspedas if he were new to this. Orrey pulled away, shocked, but Senlas’s hand came up to cup the back of his head, steady him.

“Don’t like it, kitten?” the Guardian said, his voice low, rough.

“Ugh, I do like it,” Orrey said and leaned in again. He knew he was good at this. For some reason, it felt important to show Senlas.

When their lips touched next, there was the kind of static discharge that Orrey got so often when he touched someone else, only it was much less strong, didn’t make him want to pull away. Not exactly nice maybe, but stimulating. And it stimulated Orrey to the point where he gasped all over again, just exactly like he didn’t want to.

This time around, Orrey managed not to pull back, and Senlas didn’t either, and very soon, it wasn’t just lips, but tongue, the insistent kind of kiss that made one’s entire body tingle with anticipation, elation, joy.

The tingling Orrey felt with Senlas wasn’t the normal kind he had experienced and practiced before. There was something else there, something more than his imagination, something he couldn’t quite feel or properly describe.

Senlas’s arms tightened around Orrey, and the Guardian moaned, a sound that did things to Orrey, things no other partner’s noises of pleasure ever had. The intensity of the kiss grew for a few blissful seconds, and then Senlas pulled back.

“What I want to do right now, kitten, is carry you over to my bedroom, put you down on my bed, and get rid of that underwear situation for you along with all the rest of your clothes.”

And then what?Orrey wanted to say. It was on the tip of his tongue, an immediate carnal want he didn’t feel like denying.

But it wasn’t the day on which Orrey lost his self-control. “Ah,” he said.

Senlas smiled at him, bit his bottom lip, and ran his knuckles over the shell of Orrey’s ear. “Hounds, you’re fucking pretty. Karmine?”

“Oh, good, you’re done,” the other Guardian said and came walking into the living space.

Karmine grinned at Orrey and threw in a thumbs-up which had Orrey look at his lap, not much better, seeing as how things had stirred down there.

“I take it you want coffee,” Senlas said.

“I can make myself some if you two want to fuck.”

“Orrey almost died. Poor timing.”

“Hmm. Like, if you want to get all philosophical, fucking after you almost died is the best time to fuck. Your big fancy ass just doesn’t want me to touch your grinder.”

Senlas definitely blushed, and Orrey giggled.

“I’ll throw you out, Karmine. Out off the balcony.”

“But you’dCatchme and set me down gently because you’re a good little hero, like Guardian Valas.”

“Who now?” Orrey asked as Senlas groaned.

“Guardian Valas. FromMy Secret Guardian.That drama gets zero points for accuracy, but everyone’s really hot, wears really fancy clothes, and the bedroom scenes are generally four out of five.”

“Kitten, are you okay on your own while I make some coffee for these guys? You can have some too. And you’re getting a few more pain meds before you eat anything.”

Orrey nodded. “I’ll, ah. Can I take a shower?”

“Sorry, no. Not for the next few days. Your ears are still healing, and you’re not supposed to get any water in them. Or your face and eyes. A bath would be okay if you’re careful.”

Orrey nodded. “I guess I’ll go do that.”

“Want me to help you?” Senlas asked.
