Chapter Twelve
Orion
It wasn’t part of our plan to actually speak to her, let alone drive her home.
But it was either this or Hadley was ready to mark his territory by literally pissing all over her in the middle of the restaurant.
I fully believe he’d have done it, too, hence why I took one for the team and am now in the back of a private car with the disruptive temptress herself.
“You really didn’t have to escort me home, Mr. Thorne.” I hear her words, but her body language is less than convincing.
“It’s no problem, Bowie. Seeing as your date left you high and dry after being intimidated by a real man, I figured it was the least I could do.
” The smirk tipping up my lips is uncontrollable because I know I’m overstepping as her employer, but seeing her with that guy just made me angry in a way I can’t explain.
He was a fucking coward, though. I saw Hadley leave the table for the bathroom shortly after the guy did, and I just know there was a conversation between him and Miller Cummings .
I also know that Hayes will be on his computer as soon as the two of them get back to our apartment, researching the guy until he finds something we can use against him.
Not that I think we’ll need it, but Hayes likes to be thorough.
Hadley, on the other hand, was surprisingly self controlled in the restaurant. I half-expected Miller to never come back from the bathroom, or at least return to the table with a few cuts and bruises.
“This is me.” Bowie ignores my jibe at her date and points up to the tall red-brick building as my driver slows the car down.
“Thanks for the ride home. I’ll see you on Monday.
” I know that’s not what she wants to say, her tight smile and the way her body stiffens as she steps out of the car tell me she’s holding back.
But I don’t quite know what she’s keeping inside.
She seemed eager to leave the restaurant with us, but her mood soured a little when we split up, the twins going back to our apartment while I brought Bowie home.
Gotta admit, I don’t mind that she’s sad to only have one of us with her.
We’ve shared women in the past, but for them, we’ve always been a fad, a phase they’re going through, and having a relationship with three men has always been too much for them.
Every single woman has told us that she’ll have to eventually choose just one of us… each for various reasons.
“What would my family and friends think?”
“It’s just not normal, is it?”
“What would people say if they saw us all together?”
This woman though…Bowie…I can’t put my finger on it, but there’s something about her that draws each of us in. Technically, I’m just supposed to escort her home tonight, but I’m ready to push my luck.
“I don’t know how long I’ll be, Eric, so head on home and I’ll call the car service when I’m ready.” I pat my driver on the shoulder before getting out of the car and following Bowie to the building.
“What are you doing?” Bowie turns just as she opens the door.
“Seeing you to your apartment. As promised.” I hold my hands out to the sides before pushing them into my pockets and grinning at her.
“Well, I’m here. You’ve seen. You can go now.” Her eyes widen as she looks over my shoulder to see the car driving away. “Where’s he going?”
“Just for a ride around the block so he doesn’t get a ticket.” I shrug, enjoying the way her face scrunches up, like she clearly doesn’t believe me before she sighs and holds the door open.
“Hurry up then. Come on. We don’t need him doing any more than one lap around the block.”
“After you.” I gesture for her to enter first, the shit-eating grin on my face so big my cheeks hurt.
“Hmm.” She narrows her eyes and purses her lips. “You’re up to something.” Then she turns her back to me, as if she thinks I’m the safe one, and enters the building.
I chuckle, because yeah, I am up to something.
All I’ve thought about since seeing her in our offices is the way she expertly wrapped her lips around my cock in the back of that limo.
The way her head eagerly bobbed up and down as she licked and sucked like she was going for gold.
The way her plump, juicy ass was on show for the twins.
And the way her lust-filled eyes begged me to take her home…
Well, now she’s taking me home.
This goes against what we promised ourselves about never dipping our pens in the company ink, but we’ve never had a temp before. The rules are different here.
“Okay, this is my apartment. Thanks for the chivalry, I guess.” Her shrug is cute as she stands in front of her door. It makes her braids bounce against her shoulders. “See you on Monday, Sir.” She looks at me expectantly, waiting for me to leave.
“I think we passed the formalities long before now, don’t you, Bowie?” One step toward her, and she steps back, closer to the still-closed door behind her.
“Mr. Thorne, then. I’ll see you on Monday, Mr. Thorne . Better?” She tips her chin in defiance.
“No.” Another step, and now she has nowhere to go. The door is at her back.
“What are you doing?” She repeats her earlier question, but all the confidence from outside on the sidewalk has vanished. Now, I sense uncertainty in her eyes.
She wants this as much as I do. There’s a flush to her cheeks and neck, her breaths are quicker than before, and she thinks I can’t see the way she’s trying to discreetly rub her thighs together for a little friction. But, she’s holding back, probably calculating whether or not this is a good idea.
It’s not, but to Hell with good ideas.
“What do you think I’m doing, Bowie?” I place my hands on the wall to either side of her head and lean in, dipping my neck so our faces are almost level, but she still has to tilt hers upward to look me in the eye.
“I think you’re breaking the contract you made me sign.” She smirks, as though she’s now winning in this conversation.
Cute.
“How’s that?” Her uncomfortable squirm and the way she wets her lips with her pink tongue makes my pulse race.
Narrowing her eyes up at me, she sighs heavily. “You really want me to say it?”
I nod, staying silent as I wait for her to continue.
“The contract I signed stated that I wouldn’t try to fuck any of you while I’m your employee.” She rolls her eyes and huffs, still unable to move from where I have caged her in.
Those aren’t the words used on the contract, but she’s not wrong. However…
“And are you trying to fuck me right now?”
She hesitates, then shakes her head, but I can see her mind whirring with confusion.
“Exactly. I’m trying to fuck you . Therefore, contract still stands.”
Her expressive eyes widen with a mixture of shock and lust, then she wets those damn lips of hers again before I watch her swallow.
“Well, you’re not trying very hard, are you?” Her sass is back. I fucking love it.
A noise escapes my throat, one I’ve never heard before, but it feels like a snarl as I close in on her, claiming her lips with my own and immediately demanding access to her mouth with my tongue.
She’s so receptive, like she’s melting into me, her hands sliding up and over my shoulders, looping around my neck.
Perfect.
Gripping her ass, I lift her from the floor, encouraging her to wrap her legs around my waist as I slam her back into the wall. She gasps before grinding against me, practically dry-humping me, and while I don’t mind an audience, I’m selective as to who that audience is.
“Open the door and let us inside.” I stop kissing her long enough for my words to dance over her lips.
“If I must.” She plants a quick kiss on my nose and wriggles around. I’m assuming her plan is for me to put her down, but every movement against my dick just makes me want to fuck her harder.
I squeeze her ass and twist so that she’s able to reach the lock of her door.
“Not letting me down, then?” She manages to pull her keys out of her pocket and holds them in the air.
“Nope.” I grin, she doesn’t need more of an answer than that.
“Okay.” She shrugs. Again, jostling herself against me.
“Hurry the fuck up, Bowie.” It’s impossible to ignore her watermelon scent being this close and I begin to kiss the side of her neck as she twists a little to unlock the door.
“Alright, needy.” She giggles just as the door swings open and I push us inside without thought.
It’s then that my ass begins vibrating, probably one of the twins checking up on where I am, but they can wait their turn. Tonight, Bowie’s prepped and ready for me.
Well, not exactly prepped, but she’s certainly ready.
We continue kissing, nipping, sucking at each others’ lips and tongues, and her grinding against me gets more intense when we slam the door closed behind us. I’m quick to push her back up against the nearest wall, using the leverage so I can bring a hand around to unzip her coat.
My ass vibrates again…and it’s persistent.
“I have to get this, hold that sexy thought.” One more kiss on her now-reddened lips and I pull my phone from my pocket.
We have a rule: if we don’t pick up the phone, just fuckin’ wait until we call you back. If it’s an emergency, keep calling and we’ll drop everything and answer. None of us abuse this system and it’s worked for us for years.
I don’t actually drop Bowie, though. I like her exactly where she is, resting against my rock hard cock.
“What’s up, Hads?” It could literally be any number of emergency situations when Hadley is on the other end of the line, so I have no idea what to brace myself for.
“Someone’s been fuckin’ around with our computer systems at the office. It’s fuckin’ chaos and shit’s hitting the fan. So, put your dick away and come home. I need you to help me talk Hayes down from going on a rampage so we can sort this fuckery out.”
He doesn’t wait for a response before the line goes dead.
“Ah, shit.” Sighing heavily, I look into the eyes of the woman with her legs still wrapped around my waist. I have no doubt she heard every word of what Hadley said, especially if the smirk she’s gifting me right now is anything to go by.
“Time for you to go home?” There’s a little wobble behind her voice, but she’s pushing out the confidence, even as she tries to make me put her down.
“Yeah. You’ll probably hear about it all on Monday.” I can’t resist kissing her one last time before lightly slapping her ass and letting her go.
“Do you need me for anything? I could come back to your apartment with you.”
I can tell by her closed body language that she doesn’t actually want to do that. Not that I would let her anyway. But I have other shit to deal with, so delving deeply into her thought process isn’t on my bingo card tonight.
“No, thanks. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and…” I pause, leaning in real close to her so that our noses touch. “Don’t arrange any more dates with cowards.”
Winking at her, I then turn and walk out the door, wondering what kind of fuckery Hadley was talking about. Our computer systems are all relatively new, so hopefully it’s a minor glitch that we can figure out.
I guess I’ll find out when I get home, but if Hayes is already at the edge of a cliff with what’s going on, and Hadley is the voice of reason…I think I’ll stop by the liquor store first.
