A week had passed. During this time, Mika had managed to save up a decent amount of money from the commissions he had received from the total product sales, without having to work too hard on extra sales.Furthermore, with no tasks left for him to complete in his current job, he had a lot of free time at home. For the past few days, he had been lying around, staring at the ceiling, trying to come up with something to do, but nothing seemed to come to mind. After dinner, he lay down on his bed, lost in thought, when he received a message on his phone. Opening it, he saw that the message was from a group chat with Kai, Mana, and Yuki. Yuki had also been added to the group, and the questions were directed at Mika."Hey Mika, how's it going?" Kai had written."I'm fine, what about you guys?" Mika replied."We're good. The reason I'm texting you in this group is that we're going on a school trip next week. Each class will be going to a shared campsite, and the trip will last for three days in total. Since I can't convince you on my own, I've also enlisted the help of the girls," Kai had written, ending his message with a grin emoji."Hey everyone," Mana greeted."Wait, is there a group like this? And why is it named after me, and why is it related to my birthday?" Yuki questioned.Mika pondered for a moment. He didn't have any particular reason not to go. Moreover, in events like this, tasks were usually assigned to everyone, and he would also have to work."I'm sorry, but I'm not really considering it," he typed."What? I think you should come, Mika," Yuki wrote."Yeah, I agree. Besides, this is our final year, and it might be our last activity together," Mana added. Before responding, Mika thought about how to politely decline without hurting anyone's feelings. Well, it's the last year and the last activity, but what does it matter to me? It won't contribute anything to me,"Sorry, guys, but I'm really not interested. Thanks for thinking of me, though," he typed."But..." Mana began."Alright, fine then. You know best. Forcing someone into something they don't want is wrong," Kai typed. No one said anything for a while."Thank you. Goodnight, everyone," Mika typed, took a deep breath, and sighed. I guess this is the best way. I hope I didn't say anything wrong, but it doesn't really matter,***The girls took it well, and everyone bid each other goodnight. Just as Mika was about to close his phone, another message arrived. This time, it was from Saya."Good evening, Mika. I hope I'm not bothering you," she had written."No, you're not bothering me. Is there something wrong?" Mika replied."Well, yes. Next week, there's a school camping trip. Will you be going with your class?" Saya asked. Just when Mika thought he had escaped this situation, it seemed like the same thing was happening again, and this time it was Saya. It's like they're all coordinating to convince me. How can they send messages so coordinated like this?"No, I mean, I won't be going directly," Mika replied."What? But you don't really have a choice, do you?" Saya responded."What do you mean I don't have a choice? I mean, I won't be going. That's it," Mika typed. The others were quite understanding just now. Why is Saya saying it's not possible?"I won't allow it," Saya wrote."I don't understand?""Basically, you have to come.""Why would I have to come?""Do I need to explain the reason? I want you to come.""So, I have to come just because you want me to?""Yes. Besides, what would you do at home if you don't come? Your website is already stable, and I'm pretty sure you're thinking about what to do at home since you have nothing to do," Saya wrote.Mika felt that sensation again: Surprise. What? Is she somehow monitoring me to be able to predict this much? Well, considering she's a programmer, it's not that surprising"Well, maybe you're right to some extent, but what would I do if I came? After all, I don't have any earnings, and I'll have additional work to do," Mika typed."If your concern is the workload, I can handle that.""How?""I'm the head of the disciplinary committee at school, remember? I can just put you under my care."Now Mika was really undecided. Although he didn't have much to do at home, he knew that camping could be tiring. Neither option seemed very appealing."Plus, I feel a bit more comfortable expressing this in writing. But I really want you to come," Saya added.Mika didn't respond for a while. He was wondering how he had rejected his friend group just ten minutes ago, and yet he couldn't seem to reject this girl's offer."Hey, are you there? You've seen my messages but haven't replied. If you're going to come, just message the class president directly and tell them to message me," Saya had written."I'm here. Can I take some time to think?""What? No, you can't take time. You need to decide right away.""Why?""Because if you don't decide quickly, you'll escape. I know you."Mika spoke to himself with the phone in his hand. She's actually kind of right. And when I think about going to the camp, hmm... I won't be alone, that's for sure. I won't be working either. Plus, maybe during those three days, different ideas could come up."Also, I guess I want to go together with everyone. I think..." he pondered. He took a deep breath and messaged Saya:"Alright, I'm coming.""Hooray! See you at the camp then. I'll let you know again.""For what?""It's a secret, I won't tell you now.""Alright...""Well then, goodnight.""Goodnight."Mika closed his phone, set it aside, and stared at the ceiling. Oh, right, I almost forgot,He opened his phone and messaged the group. "I changed my mind, I'm coming."He also sent a private message to Kai. "School disciplinary committee head Saya wants you to message her."He let out a deep breath. Next week, huh? It might be a good idea to pass the time by researching something related to the camp,
