EPILOGUE
“ B abe, we’re going to miss the flight!” I shouted, a mix of excitement and anxiety propelling me into action.
“Coming, little prince,” Darke replied, his footsteps echoing from upstairs.
Five months ago, I’d never imagined I’d be standing in our shared bedroom, about to embark on a honeymoon with the love of my life. Darke’s proposal had been a whirlwind of emotions, and our wedding, a fairy tale brought to life.
We raced to the car, a whirlwind of suitcases in our wake. “You have the tickets?” I asked, buckling my seat belt.
“Right here,” Darke assured me, patting his pocket. “And I have a surprise for you.”
Intrigue sparked within me. “Oh?”
He smiled, his eyes twinkling with mischief. As we pulled out of the driveway, he took my hand, his touch sending a shiver down my spine. The familiar weight of his hand in mine was a constant source of comfort and security.
The airport was a bustling hive of activity, the usual chaos tempered by the excitement of travelers. As we navigated the check-in process, I couldn’t help but reflect on the incredible journey we’d shared. Finding love, especially love as deep and profound as ours, was a rare and precious gift.
A small cafe beckoned, offering a respite from the pre-flight frenzy. As we sipped our coffee, Darke produced a small, velvet box. “I wanted to give you this as a honeymoon gift, but I couldn’t wait,” he said, his voice filled with anticipation.
My heart pounded as he opened the box, revealing a delicate silver necklace with a tiny prince charm. It was exquisite, a perfect reflection of our relationship. “Darke, it’s beautiful!” I breathed.
He slipped the necklace over my head, his fingers brushing against my skin. “I love you, Bobby,” he murmured, his eyes filled with a depth of emotion that took my breath away.
“I love you too, my beast,” I replied, sealing my words with a passionate kiss.
With a playful growl, he scooped me up in his arms and carried me towards the boarding gate. As we disappeared into the crowd, I knew that this was just the beginning of our adventure together.

As the plane soared through the sky, Darke’s hand was a constant in the shifting landscape. We watched the world shrink below us, clouds and land below us. Lost in the the moment, I found myself basking in the simple joy of his presence.
“Where are we headed, my beast?” I asked, breaking the comfortable silence.
A mischievous glint appeared in his eyes. “Somewhere special, my little prince. A surprise.”
Intrigue sparked within me. “You know I love surprises,” I replied, a playful edge to my voice.
He chuckled, the sound a warm melody in the cabin’s hushed atmosphere. As the flight attendant offered us drinks, I found myself studying Darke. There was an undeniable contentment in his expression, a peacefulness that mirrored my own.
As the plane began its descent, a surge of excitement fills me. Darke’s grip tightened on my hand, a silent communication of shared anticipation. “Ready for our next adventure, my little prince?” he asked, his voice low and husky.
“Always, my beast,” I replied, my heart pounding with excitement.
The moment we stepped off the plane, a wave of warm air enveloped us. Darke led me to a waiting car, the promise of adventure hanging heavy in the air. As we drove away from the airport, I caught a glimpse of the coastline, a breathtaking panorama that took my breath away.
“Darke,” I gasped, my voice filled with awe. “It’s stunning!”
He turned to me, his eyes sparkling with satisfaction. “I’m glad you like it, my little prince. This is our honeymoon, after all.”
I turn to him, my heart overflowing with love. “I love you, Darke.”
He pulls me close, his lips claiming mine. “I love you too, Bobby. Forever and always.”
