BOBBY
L ost in the depths of Darke’s eyes, I felt a profound sense of wonder and gratitude. How had I, of all people, found him? His gaze seemed to penetrate the very core of my being, yet he chose to remain.
A lump formed in my throat as I thought of my parents, their love a distant memory, cold and distant. But Darke’s love was a warm embrace, healing old wounds. I traced the lines of his face, feeling the rough stubble against my fingertips.
“You’re really here for me, aren’t you?” My voice was barely a whisper.
He nodded, his gaze unwavering. “Always, little prince. I’m not going anywhere.”
A tidal wave of emotion crashed over me. I was falling, deeply and irrevocably, into love with this man. He had shown me that I was worthy, that I deserved to be cherished and protected.
“Beast, is it a crime to say ‘I love you’ to an officer?” My voice trembled slightly as I brushed my lips against his.
His eyes softened, a tender smile playing on his lips. “Not at all, little prince. In fact, I’d be disappointed if you didn’t.”
“Well then, beast… I love you.” The words poured out of me, and I sealed them with a passionate kiss. His lips responded with equal fervor, a storm of desire and tenderness. In that moment, I felt truly alive.
“I love you too, my little prince,” he murmured, his voice filled with conviction.
We pulled apart, our breaths mingling. His eyes held a depth of emotion that took my breath away. “You’re not just my lover, Bobby. You’re my friend, my confidant, my everything.”
Tears welled up in my eyes. “I feel the same way, Darke.”
We stood there, lost in each other’s embrace, the world fading into insignificance. Then, with a gentle strength, he scooped me up and carried me to our haven. The rest of the night was blissful of Darke and his love he gave me in my bedroom.
