My hips take over. They move forward, and I glide home. Jack’s body opens for me, welcoming me. Surrounding me in heat and pressure and pure delight. I groan in ecstasy.
Jack’s hands tighten on my horns. The sensation is intense. An inferno and a cacophony. It is taking everything I have, every inch of willpower I have trained for and practised, not to rut into Jack like a beast.
But I can only control my hips so much. They take up a dance, a steady thrust in and out.
Jack yells and takes everything I give him. His hips rising up to meet me, demanding more.
“Dyfri!” he pleads.
Okay. I can unleash my frenzy. He wants it. He wants me to fuck him well and hard. He can take it.
I grunt and let myself go.
Jack goes wild. As wild as I am. Gasping, moaning, grunting, crying out. Our bodies slapping together. Sweating and working hard.
He feels so fucking good. The friction and heat is exquisite. He is taking me so well. Jack is amazing.
His eyes snap open. He meets my gaze. The green-brown is nearly all gone, his pupils are so wide. He looks as if he is in the throes of rapture. He is looking at me with awe and love. Desire and passion.
It’s too much. Too intense. A spark that turns the inferno inside me into a wildfire. Uncontainable and immense.
My peak pours out of me with a power that is overwhelming.
Jack cries out again. He clenches around me tight enough to take my breath away.
His peak rocks through him. Making him glow. Transforming him into a deity. Burning away the trappings of humanity and showing his naked, blazing soul.
And through it all, he holds my gaze. He allows me to see all of him. Down to his very core.
It is the most magnificent thing I have ever seen. I’m blown away. Humbled and forever changed.
I’m going to worship Jack forever.
Reality whirls and spins. We stare into each other’s eyes while our bodies slowly cool. Oxygen gradually returns to my veins.
I still don’t look away. I can’t. I don’t want to.
Jack tries to speak. He stops. Inhales and tries again.
“Stay with me.”
My heart thumps against my ribcage, as if trying to claw its way out of me and reach Jack directly. It has had enough of me and my weaknesses. My excuses and insecurities. My heart knows what it wants, and it wants Jack.
I know what Jack is saying. He isn’t asking about tonight. A week or a year. He is asking for eternity. He isasking me to stay on Earth with him and this magical thing we have found in each other.
I snatch a breath, even though I can feel my words are going to come easily. True words always do.
“Always,” I say.
And Jack’s eyes light up.
Chapter thirty-seven
Dyfri
The abandoned shopping mall feels like a monument to human excess and failure. Empty storefronts stretch in both directions, their security gates pulled down like sleeping eyelids. The fountain in the centre has been dry for years, filled now with debris and the detritus of urban decay. Our voices echo strangely in the cavernous space, bouncing off broken tiles and shattered glass.
It’s another desolate, empty place for a meeting, but at least this one offers multiple escape routes and clear sightlines.
