I’m lying in bed, being kissed by Jack, and it is the most wonderful thing to have ever happened to me. We’ve been like this for hours, and I still don’t want it to ever stop.
His hands are running all over my naked body, and it feels like heaven. He is touching me with reverence and awe, and it is lighting my soul up.
Suddenly, his warm lips leave mine, and I nearly whimper in dismay. Instead, I open my eyes and find him staring at me. His green-brown eyes are dark and heated.
“You aren’t working for the Unseelie Court, are you.” His words are not a question.
I blink in surprise. I had no idea this was on his mind. Whether I was or not, never seemed to bother him. Which is not surprising. He is a human, with no allegiance to either court. Why should he care why I want to liberate his people?
A soft sigh escapes me. There is no point in denying it. There is truth in kisses, and that’s probably why he has been hit with this sudden clarity.
“No,” I admit.
Understanding swirls in his eyes. “But the uncertainty of it is intimidating. It makes you seem more formidable. It’s an unplayed hand in a game of cards.”
My heart flutters, and my hand lifts up to cup his face. “I don’t know why you ever doubted your intelligence, but it needs to stop. Right now.”
The smile that stretches across his lips is dazzling. “Yes, Your Highness.”
My laugh is helpless and entirely too soft. Jack kisses me anyway. He kisses me deeply and intensely, and I sink into it.
I press myself even closer to him, brushing my bare chest against his soft fur. He murmurs in appreciation, and his leg lifts up to cover my hip. His hand glides up to my horn, and I moan as pleasure flares white-hot and potent.
Jack freezes. He stops kissing me.
I glare at him. His eyes are wide and dark, pupils blown. “Does that feel good?”
I lick my lips. The words are stuck in my throat. So I nod instead.
Heat races over Jack’s cheeks. He carefully moves his hand, stroking my horn with a featherlight touch. I shiver as sensation courses through me. The ecstasy is profound.
“Your eyes are glowing,” Jack whispers hoarsely.
I look away, but his hand moves from my horn to my chin, gently pulling me back to meet his gaze.
“I love it,” he says. “It is so flipping sexy.”
I blink. This man is full of never-ending surprises. Every single one of them good and bright.
I hold his gaze while he carefully caresses my horn again. Lust and desire flare deep inside me. One lastsemi-coherent thought races through me. A musing on whether humans inherited their word horny from us.
I push Jack onto his back and grind myself against him. He groans, and his eyes roll back. His jaw is slack with pleasure, and he has never looked more beautiful.
His now free hand takes my other horn and he strokes both at once. I see stars and grind harder against him.
“I…I want you to top me!” Jack gasps.
It’s my turn to freeze. Jack opens his eyes. He looks a little sheepish and a whole lot flushed and aroused.
I’m feeling positively feral. His invitation is doing things to me. Wild things. Filling me with want, need and hunger. The likes of which I have never felt before.
“It’s still our honeymoon,” I hear myself say. Apparently, some part of my mind is still functioning.
Jack licks his lips. “I won’t tell if you don’t.”
I stare at him. Thoughts are tangling. A thousand different feelings are whirling within me like a hurricane.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to,” Jack says. “I understand.”
