Page 22 of Faking it with the Billionaire
“He deserves something thrown at him.”
“And waste a perfectly good beer?” She scoffs at my suggestion and brings the bottle to her lips, tilting her head back and downing the contents.
God, she makes everything look sexy.
With her cute little mouth wrapped around the neck of the bottle, my cock twitches.
She shifts her hips on my lap, and she’s only making me harder. Is that on purpose? Is she toying with me because she wants me, or is this a game to her, and she’s really good at her little act?
“I’m happy for the two of you,” Noah says. “It’s good to see my man happy for a change. Maybe some of that luck will finally rub off on the ice. I’m tired of our losing streak. Have any sisters?”
“I do, but she likes pussy,” Emerson says, and Noah’s mouth drops.
I have no idea whether she’s making shit up or just trying to get a bigger rise out of me, which is working. Pussy? Those words coming from her lips are tantalizing.
“God, woman,” I grumble under my breath and grab her beer when she’s not paying close attention.
“If you throw that—”
“It’s empty.” I scowl. I was planning on drinking it. Tossing it at Owen is no longer a priority.
She smirks all too knowingly, and I can’t just sit there and take the sass without doing something. I lean in, stealing her breath away with a heated kiss.
Levi, Clare’s husband, whistles as the world around us melts away. My fingers tangle in Emerson’s hair, pulling her lips upward, her mouth opening as I get lost in the moment with her.
I keep reminding myself this is all an act. I need to convince my teammates that Emerson ismine.
She shifts her weight, grinding against me as she pushes me back against the chair. I swear I’m seeing stars, and it’s not the night sky that I’m looking at because my eyes are shut, and she’s lighting up the heavens as I feel things buried deep within me.
The kiss we shared the other day on the stairs was pale compared to the heat sizzling and emanating between us now.
My heart pounds loud enough that I’m confident everyone within a five-mile radius can hear it.
“Gosh, you two, get a room before you make another spawn out here for everyone to see.”
“Spawn?” That captures my attention, and I turn my head, glaring at Jasper. I could kill him right now.
“Yeah, you know, the little thing that runs around here and recites the alphabet in song version.”
He’s referring to my kid, obviously. But Bristol hasn’t done that in years. “My daughter is a lot more grown-up than you are,” I snap back at my brother.
Emerson pats my chest reassuringly. “Settle down there. I’m sure he’s just playing with you.”
“I’m not,” I mutter under my breath, annoyed that he managed to interrupt a perfectly good moment between Emerson and me. Even if it isn’t real and we’re just pretending to date, I’m sure as hell enjoying it.
Probably because I haven’t stuck my dick in anyone in months.
Not that I intend on doing that with Emerson. That’s a line we won’t cross, given that this is a business transaction.
And it’s Emerson.
She’d probably chop off my dick if given the opportunity. The girl is a real firecracker. And while I’m comfortable pretending she’s my girlfriend, there’s no chance it can come to fruition.
We’d undoubtedly kill each other first.
But she’s a good actress, making me believe she wants me. Even my body believes her. But my heart should know better.
Owen stands up and stretches his legs, approaching the fire. “How long did it take for the two of you to hook up? She’s been ‘nannying’ for your kid for what, a week? Really stuck it to the ‘nanny,’ didn’t you.”
