She did as he asked. Her fingers disappeared into her tight channel causing him to rumble low in his throat. He grabbed her hand. Their eyes locked as he licked her fingers. Her hips were rolling. Begging. He lowered his mouth to her liquid heat.

She moaned loudly as his tongue licked her from top to bottom, stabbing deep into the most sensitive part of her. He loved the taste. Lavender and honey tickled his taste buds as he marauded her soft flesh.

Her hips pushed against his mouth, spurning his hunger. “Don’t stop!”

She cried out as she came with his tongue lodged deep inside her.

He loved the sensation of her juices flowing onto his lips.

As she calmed, he moved up, pressing his cock against the sensitive opening.

Feeling her delicate folds stretch as he invaded her.

He paused when she whimpered, realizing it was one of need he seated himself in one hard thrust.

Her pussy clamped down on him so hard he had to stop to avoid coming. She needed her mate to give her long hard strokes, to exhaust her. And he would do just that. He pulled back once and thrust down as hard as he could, slapping against her skin as he pumped into her.

“YES,” she screamed.

He didn’t lessen his pace. Her cat didn’t want gentle. She scratched his back, marking him. He loved that too, knowing he belonged to her and her alone. He grabbed one leg angling it up so he could penetrate deeper, forcing her to take every powerful inch of him, fueling the building pressure.

He pumped one last time, grabbing her hips to hold her to him as he ejaculated into her. She came with him. Her tight muscles clamping around him, milking his seed. He collapsed to the side of her, pulling her on top of him.

She pulled back with a concerned expression. He saw her eyes glowing, knowing she wouldn’t be able to stop the change. “It’s okay. Let it happen.”

Her body arched as her cat sprang free from the confines of its human body. She stood over him, her rough tongue licking his face. She was waiting for him. “I’m sorry, baby. We can’t run here. You won’t be able to change back yet. I’ll take care of you.”

He led her to the front room and sat on the floor. She lay down on his lap, drifting in and out of sleep when he heard the lock click.

Cade popped his head in the door. He saw his eyes open wide when he saw Sarah in cat form. He stepped through, closing the door. “Is that wise?” He motioned toward Sarah.

“She couldn’t stop it. We’ll wait here till she is able to shift back.”

“How long has it been?” He asked.

“A couple hours,” Devon said.

“How are you keeping human form so easily?” Cade asked concerned.

“She needs to be protected. That’s better suited to my human form while we are here. My cat is ornery right now. It’s not easy being out of sync with your cat. I never realized what Hunter must have gone through.”

Sarah got up and looked at him with a pained expression. He had thought her asleep. He should have known she would wake to his voice. She padded down her short hallway and into a room with only a curtain across it, forcing the men to follow.

Devon moved the curtain to the side to reveal the small storage room. She was sitting in front of a large dog crate with a cover. He remembered her mentioning Racheal had a German Shepard, but it had passed away after Racheal disappeared.

“I’m not caging you.” He despised being locked up. He would never do that to the woman he loved with all his being. The idea, an affront to him and his cat.

Cade put a reassuring hand on his arm. “She’s doing this for you. To get you back to the lair. So, you can run free with her. Don’t waste the trust she is giving you.”

He looked into his mate’s eyes, knowing everything Cade said was true.

He vowed there that he would spend the rest of his life proving that trust wasn’t misplaced.

He opened the door to the crate. She went in immediately.

He closed the door, but didn’t lock it. He could never do that.

He carried her to the SUV. Once inside she crawled back on his lap, nuzzling his hand as the road blurred by.

* * *

They were married a week later. The entire Cascade family was there including the relatives from other lairs. They had even propped Aiden up in a chair for the festivities.

His wounds were healing, but they all knew he didn’t have a lot of time.

If they didn’t find a solution to the ailing Coyote, he was going to die.

He had said he wanted to see the wedding.

That it was comforting to know some shifter species would continue to flourish.

He continued to ask his friends to leave and look for their mates, but both ignored his comments and continued to care for him.

They were good men that had the entire lair questioning their beliefs about the coyote race.

Everything had been perfect. Devon had worn a suit.

One that had her cat sending her images of ripping it from his body.

He seemed to know when her cat was feeling amorous as he smiled whenever it happened.

She had seen him blink back a tear when she walked down the aisle toward him. Reveling in his love for her.

Lucy had stood up for her, but she had missed having Racheal with them.

She winced as Cade finished the tattoo on her finger.

She had wanted a ring tat of her own design as soon as she had seen Lucy’s.

Devon being true to his word gave her whatever she asked for.

His finger was red with the black ink vibrantly showing the cougar etched within the circular band with crossing guns in the center.

She was thinking about last night when Devon had made love to her so slowly and sweetly, she didn’t notice Cade say her name.

“Sarah,” he said again.

“Huh?”

“It’s done.” He smirked as if he knew where her thoughts had wandered.

She put her hand next to Devon’s matching finger. “I love it. Thank you, Cade.”

Cade smiled. “My pleasure. Besides any girl that puts guns on her wedding band is a girl after my own heart.”

Devon scowled. “Get your own mate.”

Cade put his hands up in mock defense. “Settle down I’m only ninety-seven.”

Sarah shook her head. “I’m never getting used to that.”

Devon leaned down, whispering in her ear. “You will. I need a few hundred years just to sate my body’s need for you.” He was well aware of the effect he had on her.

She was blushing when Talen came in with a white package and a decorative card. “This arrived for Sarah.”

She stood, reaching for the parcel. “Another present?” They had given her so much including a new Escalade. She couldn’t think of anything more she needed.

“Yes, but it isn’t from any of us. It arrived by courier.”

“Racheal?” She dared to hope, opening the card quickly.

She looked up. Holding the card loosely in her hands as she looked at Devon. Her stomach rolling into knots.

“Who’s it from?” He asked.

“Kevin Kallan.”

Devon’s face hardened. “What does it say?”

Sarah,

As per my agreement with your father I have enclosed the deed to Marksmen Enterprises.

I am officially informing you that as per that agreement you and your husband are not to be harmed in any way.

This exclusion does not extend to any other member of the Cascade family or their offspring.

The loss that you have accorded me will be compensated for by your new family. I always keep my word.

K. Kallan

“Do you think it’s safe to open,” Devon asked.

“Yes. He addressed it to me and won’t break his word,” she tore open the paper and opened the box. She pulled back the bubble wrap.

“Sarah, stop.” Devon grabbed her arm too late. Her father’s severed head, mounted on a plaque, stared blindly back at her.

She turned abruptly to Devon, who encircled her in his arms.

Talen scooped up the box swearing as he left. He returned minutes later with an envelope and a small box in his hand.

“What NOW.” Devon snapped.

Talen held out the small box. “Sarah received another present.”

“Who’s it from?” Sarah asked.

“There isn’t a card, but I think you will know.”

“You opened it I assume.”

Talen nodded.

Sarah reached for the tiny white box, opening the lid. Her mother’s emerald green earrings were inside. “Oh, Racheal.”

She wiped a tear that away. “I’m not going to see her again, am I?”

Devon pulled her to him. “You will. Hunter won’t give up until he finds her.” He motioned to the papers in Talen’s hands. “What are those?”

Talen frowned. “It’s the deed to Marksmen Enterprises. Sarah isn’t the new owner.”

Sarah huffed. “Of course not. My father believed women should be seen not heard. It probably lists Donny as the heir.”

“No. He changed it after your brother died,” he said cautiously.

Sarah looked back at Talen. “It’s Gerald isn’t it?”

“I’m sure that was the intention. However, he stipulated that the company was to pass to your husband.”

Sarah looked at Devon. “You’re the new owner?”

“I will sign it over to you, Sarah.”

“It’s not that. Why would he leave that kind of opening? It’s not like him,” she said.

“I don’t think he had much say in this agreement, Sarah. It says the company was to pass to your husband at the time of your marriage, not his death,” Talen said.

Sarah sucked in a breath. “That’s why Kevin killed him. Why would my father make that kind of arrangement? He would have had nothing. It doesn’t make sense.”

Devon gently pulled her hand to his mouth and kissed them. “I’m afraid your father will be keeping his secrets.”

Sarah’s eyes widened. “His secrets. The Bunker.”

Devon’s head turned to the side. “What’s the bunker?”

“When Donny was twelve, we were arguing and Donny said Dad had taken him to the bunker. He was rubbing in the fact that Brian favored him. Anyway a few days later he came to me and begged me not to tell anyone, including father, that I knew about it. He said it was safer that way, that Dad kept a record of everything and he would kill Donny for telling me. Donny was respectful to me after that.”

“Where is it?” Devon said.

“I don’t know. One of our properties, I think. It’ll be well hidden. My father was a survivalist. If he was handing over his company, he was getting something bigger in return or believed he had the leverage to get what he wanted.”

Devon rubbed his chin. “That makes sense. If he had something he could use against Kallan, he would have wanted you married to Gerald before he used it.”

Talen put the deed on the table. “Whatever it is, we have to find it.”

Devon took both Sarah’s hands in his. “Are you ready to claim your father’s empire?”

“WE are ready,” she said.
