“Likewise,” he said.
We both stood and put our plates and the leftover pizza near the kitchen for consumption or cleanup.
I ached to be with Gerard. Hopefully, he wanted the same damn thing.
We walked back to our rooms, and I froze the second I saw my door.
My hand brushed against his in the small hall, and I said, “I think we shouldn’t put labels on whatever happens.”
He took my hand. “That will be hard.”
If he wanted me gone, I had no idea what I would do. I held him tight. “Why?”
“Because I want all of you.”
His words broke through me like a dam bursting. I tugged him closer, though part of me knew I shouldn’t. “Kiss me, and don’t let me go, Dreamboat.”
He blinked, astonished. “What?”
I cupped his face. “I think the nickname fits you perfectly.”
I refused to wait. Our lips met, and I forgot everything except us.
