Chapter Fifteen
Ashton
Holding her for that brief second made my cock twitch. I’d tried like hell to stay away from her, but the more time passed, the more impossible it was becoming. The curiosity, the urge, it was too much.
“I’m heading up to bed,” she said, getting up and taking her wine glass to the kitchen.
Jumping up from the couch, I grabbed my empty glass and followed her, pinning her body against the sink with mine as we set our glasses in it.
Her body hardened. I felt it along with my rising cock.
I gripped her shoulders from behind and started massaging them.
I was crossing the line with my employee, and tonight, I didn’t care.
I was thinking more with my dick than my brain.
“Do you like this?” I leaned in and whispered in her ear.
“Yes,” she moaned.
My lips pressed against the flesh of her neck. “And this.”
“Yeah, I like that.” Her breath was bated.
My hands reached up her shirt and gripped her bra cups, pulling them down and feeling her naked breasts. I turned her around and smashed my mouth into hers. She welcomed it and didn’t pull away. She wanted me as much as I wanted her. But I needed to be sure.
“Are you okay with this?”
“Yes, Ashton.” She pulled my lips onto hers.
“I want to fuck you on the island,” I whispered, lifting her sweatshirt over her head.
She took off her bra and jeans while I stripped out of my clothes.
Lifting her up, I set her on the island, knelt down, and devoured her, tasting her arousal, which made me more feral than I already was.
Moans escaped her as she orgasmed. Standing up, I pushed her back on the island so she was lying flat and pressed my palm against her chest and ran it down her torso until my finger dipped inside her and my lips wrapped around her hardened nipples.
They were beautiful nipples—rosy pink and tantalizing.
I couldn’t wait any longer. I needed to bury my cock deep inside her and feel the fire burning inside.
She sat up, her legs dangling over the countertop.
Reaching down, her fingers wrapped themselves around my stiff cock. And after a few tugs, I was done for.
“I’m liking what I see,” she whispered as my mouth devoured her neck.
“I’m enjoying what you’re doing, but I really need to fuck you now.” I removed her hand, grabbed a condom, and rolled it over my stiff cock. I pulled her closer to the edge and thrust inside her.
Gasps could be heard throughout the kitchen as I thrust in and out of her, my left arm securely around her waist, holding her in place.
The feeling was everything I knew it would be.
Our lips met once again for a passionate kiss.
Her fingers dug into the flesh of my ass, heightening my excitement.
Another orgasm soared through her, causing my cock to spasm with jealousy and explode.
Our eyes locked as I strained to push out every drop I had.
Then I lay my forehead against hers for a moment while our breathing calmed.
Fuck. What have I done?
“Well, that was—good.” She smiled.
“Yeah. It was.” I lifted her from the island, set her on the floor, picked up her clothes, and handed them to her.
“Thanks.”
Removing the condom, I buried it deep down into the trash bin and pulled on my underwear.
“I guess I’ll head to bed,” Charlotte said, pulling on her sexy panties.
“Good idea. I have a little bit of work to do first. I’ll see you in the morning.”
“Yeah. Sure. See you in the morning.” She bit down on her bottom lip and walked out of the kitchen.
After pulling on my pants, I placed my hands on the island and pushed myself back, lowering my head and thinking about what just happened.
Fucking her was incredible, and now that I had a taste, I wanted more, which would lead to trouble if I let it happen again.
My curiosity was too strong to resist. And now that it was satisfied, I needed to control myself.
Charlotte
I slipped into my nightshirt and climbed into bed.
My body was on fire and still pulsating from his touch.
I stared at the ceiling, my breath still trying to regain its normal rate as the sheets cooled against my skin.
Physically, I was tired. My mind, however, was wide awake, replaying the events of the last hour as if it were on autoplay.
Sex with Ashton wasn’t what I’d expected.
It was better. Way better than I ever imagined.
He knew his way around a woman’s body like no one I’d ever been with.
All those other wealthy men had nothing on Ashton Cross.
He was a god in bed. The God of Sex. That was how I’d always think of him now.
When he kissed me earlier, I told myself it was just physical.
I was horny, and being with him would scratch the itch and nothing more.
But the way he stared at me this evening sent me spiraling and left me unable to distinguish right from wrong, and I wasn’t sure if either of us could come back from it.
Every inch of him was now mapped in my memory.
Who was I kidding? The more I tried to convince myself that this affected both of us, the more I realized it only affected me.
He was just another wealthy man who was on a quest to get his nanny into bed.
This wouldn’t affect Ashton at all. He’d go on with his days as if it never happened, while I pretended it wasn’t the best sex I’d ever had, and things were moving beyond physical.
The following morning, I was nervous as all hell to see him. Fuck, why did I let him have me last night? Now, we were thrown into an awkward situation. But then again, I was positive it would only be awkward for me.
I made sure to wait for Eloise before going downstairs. Once she was ready, I grabbed her hand, and we took the elevator down. Walking into the kitchen, I saw Ashton sitting at the table with a cup of coffee and an English muffin.
“Morning, Dad.” Eloise walked over and kissed his cheek.
“Good morning, sweetheart. How did you sleep?”
“Good. How about you?”
“Fantastic.” He looked at me and smiled. “And you, Charlotte? How did you sleep?”
“Great. Yeah, great.” I inhaled a breath as I walked over and popped a Nespresso pod into the coffee machine. “I was thinking about walking Eloise to school today. Would that be okay?” I asked Ashton.
“Why would you want to do that?”
“It’s only a few blocks, and it’s a crisp morning. My favorite time of year. Besides, I want Eloise to experience the magic of fall while walking to school.”
“Oh, please, Dad. Can we walk? Please?” she begged.
“If you want to. Be my guest.”
“Thanks, Dad.” She threw her arms around him.
Sylvia looked at me and smiled. “Can I make you some breakfast?”
“Thanks, Sylvia, but I’m not hungry.”
“Here are your eggs, little angel.” She set a plate of eggs and toast down in front of Eloise.
After she finished eating, she ran upstairs to get her shoes and backpack.
“Can I ask you something?” I asked Ashton.
“Of course. What is it?”
“Do you know Kitty Corners?”
“I do.” A smirk crossed his lips. “Why?”
“The other nannies were telling me yesterday at the park that I’m basically stepping on her toes with the fall bake off.
I guess she wins every year and is expected to win.
They said she isn’t nice and doesn’t like competition.
I just want to know exactly how she is so I can formulate a plan to deal with her. ”
He chuckled. “Kitty Corners has never lived without privilege. She was born into it and married into it. She’s a well-known socialite in Manhattan, and she is a bitch.
I won’t lie. She’s a calculating, manipulative woman who goes out of her way to make sure she’s noticed. So, good luck.” He grinned.
“Thanks.” I sighed.
“I have to get to work. Eloise, I’m leaving.” He shouted.
She ran into the kitchen wearing her shoes and backpack.
“Bye, Dad.”
“Bye, sweetheart. Have a good day.” He kissed the top of her head.
As I held Eloise’s hand and we walked to school, the smile never left my face. Oranges, reds, and yellows were making their appearance while the crisp morning air kissed our cheeks. This was my happy place. Nothing excited me more than being outdoors on a crisp fall day.
We reached the school, and I walked Eloise up to the door. As soon as the bell rang, all the kids scurried inside.
“Have a good day, and I’ll see you later. Don’t forget that dance class was cancelled for tonight.”
“I didn’t forget. I really wanted to go.”
“I know. But how about after school, we do some fall shopping? Your dad said it was okay to decorate the house.”
“Yay! Okay.” She grinned.
“Go on and get to class.” I patted her head.
“Excuse me?” A tall woman with long blonde wavy hair, dressed in a designer two-piece suit and Louboutins, walked over.
“Yes?” I noted the other nannies staring.
“You must be Charlotte. I’m Kitty Corners.” She extended her perfectly manicured hand.
“It’s nice to meet you, Kitty.” I shook her hand.
“I heard a nasty little rumor that you’re baking pies for the fall bake-off.”
Okay, bitch. I see you.
“It’s not a nasty little rumor. It’s true. I am making pies for the fall bake off.”
“But you’re just a nanny. Nannies are not allowed to enter the bake-off. It’s for parents only.”
“Does it say anywhere in the fall bake-off handbook that nannies aren’t allowed to enter?”
“Well, no. But it’s a rule. It’s for parents only.”
“Listen, Kitty. This is the way I see it. Nannies are parents. We spend more time watching and doing things with your children because you’re all too busy to take care of them yourselves.
We raise your kids for you, which technically makes us a parent.
You don’t have to be blood-related to be a mother. ”
“Why, I’ve never—” She placed her hand over her heart.
“Never what, Kitty? Are you threatened by my pies?”
“Absolutely not. How dare you.”
“Are you sure? Because you’re humiliating yourself right now.
You think I’m beneath you because I’m a nanny.
Let me tell you something. And I speak for all of us nannies.
I might not have your designer labels, trust fund, or a closet full of Birkins, but when Eloise cries in the middle of the night from a bad dream, it’s my name she calls out.
When she needs something, it’s me she runs to.
So don’t you dare look down on me from your privileged little perch. ”
“I will be calling your employer.” She turned on her designer heels and stomped away.
