She’s wearing a conservative navy one-piece suit.
Dia, am I disappointed? “Beat it,” I tell Zoey.
Alessia stares at me aghast.
Breasts swaying, Zoey broadens her stance.
“Don’t you have any homes to burn down?” I snap.
“Make up your mind,” she snaps right back. “Allow her to marry Sandro and leave her alone. Or don’t.”
I straighten.
“Stop it, Zoey,” Alessia insists.
Who the fuck does she think she’s talking to?
Alessia scrambles from the chaise and wedges herself between us.
Marry Sandro? Leave her alone? Or don’t? Like she’s dictating what I can or can’t do?
Alessia presses a palm against my stomach, and I push into her warm touch. “Please don’t send her away. She’s being a good friend, is all.”
I still as her pleading tone washes over me. I miss her soft-spoken manner. Her sweet cries when I fuck her.
“Leave your clit alone. Capisci?”
“Capisci.”
“Pool time is over,” I thunder, and then stalk off, even more frustrated than before.
CHAPTER54
ALESSIA
Bastian leaves me no choice but to handcuff myself to his bedpost.
Waiting for his arrival is torture. Every footstep has me jumping. Every noise garners my intense concentration. How long is he going to ignore me? Does he truly believe nothing’s changed?
It’s late and I’m half-asleep when the door crashes open.
I know the exact moment he spots me.
“Che cazzo, Freido,” he snaps. “Get her out of here.”
Footsteps thud just as the moon’s pale rays filter into the room and illuminate my naked body.
“I warned her this was a bad—”
The door is slammed closed in his face.
Bastian paces the room. Back and forth. Back and forth.
Calm washes over me. I tossed the handcuff key behind the sofa by the fireplace. I’m not going anywhere. “Please, Bastian. Come to bed.”
He stops pacing.
“I want you.”
