Chapter Twenty-Two
D orian didn’t know exactly what she wanted. All she knew was her body was humming from the pleasure that Lynix had just bestowed on her, and she craved more. Never in her life had she been this aroused while also feeling as if she was going to spontaneously combust.
After she had admitted to wanting more, Lynix had her out of her dress within seconds, leaving her in nothing but her yellow lace bra and panties. She had squirmed under his perusal, his passion-filled gaze ratcheting up her need for him.
How was it possible that she was this turned on? All they’d done was some kissing and heavy petting. Which was more than she’d ever planned to engage in with him. But so far, she had no regrets. Her body yearned for his mouth, his touch, and his attention on her.
So what if they were pretending to be a couple? People did this type of stuff all the time with less of a connection, right? Surely, she could enjoy a little intimacy without feelings getting in the way. Lynix had admitted as much when he casually mentioned his past hookups.
Hopefully, she could be just as casual with him while they got to know each other physically. She also hoped she could give him as much pleasure as he’d given her.
“I knew you had an incredible body, but this? Damn, baby. You’re breathtaking.”
He lowered his head, and his lips seared a path down the side of her neck, over her shoulders, and he kept going. When he reached her breasts, he didn’t even pause at the front closure of her bra. With a flick of his wrist, the bra was unhooked and her breasts spilled out.
Lynix cupped them both, pushing them together as he ran the pad of his thumb over her taut nipples. She was a solid “B” cup, but the way he teased and admired her girls was like a meat eater admiring a T-bone steak.
“Yeah, definitely breathtaking,” he said gruffly before gently biting down, then sucking a nipple into his mouth.
Dorian hissed and slammed her eyes shut as she squirmed beneath him. The licking, sucking, and teasing he was doing was almost too much, and then he did the same with her other breast.
Desire charged through her body like a live wire igniting every nerve within her, and her heartbeat picked up speed. So much so, it felt as if her heart would pound right out of her chest.
He moved lower.
The man’s mouth and lips were wicked as he explored his way down her body, stopping occasionally to nip at her skin. Then he reached her hips, and the sweet torture of his kisses continued while he made quick work of sliding her panties down her legs.
This was happening.
This was really happening, her brain screamed.
Her body trembled with anticipation as Lynix mumbled something while peppering kisses just below her belly button and continued a downward path. Dorian squeaked when he slid his arms beneath her knees and lifted her slightly before his face was buried between her thighs.
The light scruff from his full beard brushed against the inside of her thighs seconds before his tongue made contact with her small bundle of nerves.
Oh. My. God!
She practically lurched off the bed, her body twisting and turning, struggling against the intense sensations charging through her.
“Ly—Lynix,” she stuttered, her breath catching in her throat.
He held on to her, keeping her in place while simultaneously inflicting the most feral type of pleasure with his mouth and tongue that she’d ever endured. And she was loving every breath-stealing minute of his ministrations.
But she couldn’t lie still. She had no control of her body.
The intensity from what he was doing to her felt too good.
She whimpered and fisted the bedding within her hands as sensations plowed through her, swirling around like a flying saucer.
Her hips moved on their own accord, thrusted against his face, harder and faster.
It was too much.
She couldn’t breathe.
“Lynix,” she moaned as the pressure built, and then she lost it. She screamed his name as a hot tide of passion rocketed through her leaving her boneless and gasping for air.
Tears leaked from the corners of her eyes, but she wasn’t crying. Hell, she wasn’t sure what was going on. Her body trembled and her chest heaved while she struggled to get breath into her lungs.
Her energy was shot. Her mind was spinning. And she couldn’t move even if she wanted to. So many emotions spun inside of her, feelings she couldn’t put a name to. That… all of that had been wild.
What had he done to her?
What had he done to her body?
“Dee?”
Dorian could hear Onyx whimpering at the door until Lynix said something to the dog. Then she could feel Lynix’s hand on her thighs, but she still couldn’t move. She was barely able to think and forget about breathing. Her chest was still heaving.
“Sweetheart, are you okay?” Lynix’s words sounded closer, and she didn’t miss the concern in his voice. His hand was on the side of her neck for a second before moving it to her cheek. “Dee? You gotta talk to me, babe. You okay?”
Her eyes finally eased open and met his troubled ones.
“Woman, you scared the hell out of me. Are you alright?” His voice was gentler this time, but he still looked concerned as he lightly brushed his fingers over her cheek.
“I—I’m…” She released a long breath. “That was… that was a lot,” she admitted, unable to come up with a more accurate description of how he had rocked her world.
Lynix huffed out a breath, and his broad shoulders relaxed. As he lay beside her on the bed, he chuckled and gathered her limp body into his arms.
“It sounded like you were hyperventilating, which caught me off guard. You kind of freaked me out there for a minute,” he whispered, then kissed her.
It was weird tasting herself on his lips, but it was another new experience with him.
“I freaked you out?” she said, still feeling a little breathless. “I’m the one whose world was flipped upside down. I’ve never felt anything like that before in my life,” she admitted quietly, and the moment the words were out of her mouth, Lynix stiffened next to her.
Silence fell between them and long seconds ticked by before he lifted up and looked down at her.
Dorian frowned. What? He was looking at her as if seeing her for the first time. Then his eyes searched hers like he was trying to figure something out. But what?
“Lynix?”
Hearing his name snapped him to attention, and he sat on the edge of the bed with his back to her.
Okaaay . She was at a loss here. What had she said to spark this type of reaction? She tried to mentally search her mind, but if she was honest, she was still a little out of it. Still trying to pull herself together after experiencing the most intense orgasm of her life.
Lynix stirred, and her eyes snapped to him as he released a long breath before glancing over his shoulder at her. “What did you mean when you said you never felt anything like that before?” he asked.
His voice was calm and controlled, but he was still searching her eyes for something, maybe answers she didn’t seem to have.
“Dee?” he prompted.
Then it dawned on her. Embarrassment sent heat rushing through her body, and her face felt like it was on fire.
He doesn’t know. She thought he knew. How could he not know?
Because I didn’t actually tell him .
Dorian scurried to move away from him, practically tumbling out of the bed in the process, but she caught herself. Barely. She stumbled to her feet and snatched her dress off the floor.
God, she must be the most pitiful woman on the face of the earth.
Instead of putting on the dress, she used it to cover herself and rushed to the door.
Lynix’s large hand rested against the face of the door, keeping it closed, but she couldn’t look at him. She didn’t want to see the disappointment or the pity in his eyes.
She swallowed hard and started to move away from him, but he caught her around the waist.
“Don’t,” she said and pushed him away, still using the dress to keep her nakedness hidden. “Just don’t.”
“You’re a virgin?” he asked, his voice gentle but carrying a bit of shock. “Sweetheart, why didn’t you tell me?”
Dorian nibbled on her lower lip, looking everywhere but at him as she tried to keep her emotions in check. She felt, rather than saw, him inch closer. He was easing toward her as if she was some scared animal who might bolt at any second.
Actually, that was exactly how she felt.
“Look at me, Dee,” he said when he got closer, but he didn’t touch her.
After a slight hesitation, she did as he asked, and the tenderness in his gaze almost made her burst into tears. Instead, a few tears trickled down her cheek.
“I’m so embarrassed. I thought you had figured out that I’m—I’m… I haven’t been with anyone intimately before.”
“Don’t cry, sweetheart. I hate seeing you cry.” He pulled her into his arms, and Dorian deflated against him as he held her tightly. He placed a kiss near her temple. “You have nothing to be embarrassed about. I’m sorry about how I reacted. I was surprised.”
She eased away from him, feeling a little self-conscious with no clothes on while he was fully clothed. Not bothering with underwear, she hurried and slipped into the dress.
“I assumed you knew, especially after I said I hadn’t had sex with Rodney while we dated.”
“I figured you hadn’t been with a lot of men, but I didn’t know you were a virgin. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have…” His voice trailed off, and Dorian folded her arms across her chest.
“Otherwise, what happened tonight wouldn’t have happened,” she finished for him.
“Oh, no. It would’ve happened, but I would’ve been more careful with you. I would’ve made sure we had a conversation before any of that happened.”
“I didn’t need a conversation. Nothing happened that I didn’t want to happen, and since we’re on the subject, I’ve made a decision.”
“Okay,” he said slowly. “If you’re thinking about pulling out of our fake dating agreement, don’t. Nothing has changed. I want us to continue moving forward. Besides, I still need your help in keeping my father off my back. Basically, you’re stuck with me as your fake boyfriend,” he said.
“Good, because I’m not done with you either.” Dorian lifted her chin higher and dug deep for an extra dose of courage for what she was about to request of him. “I want you to be my first.”
Lynix stood frozen.
He didn’t move. He didn’t speak. He just stood there, his eyebrows lifted skyward and his mouth slightly ajar. The shocked expression on his handsome face was like that of someone who’d just been told they owed the IRS a million dollars.
Great. That’s just great. She’d clearly said the wrong thing.
Maybe she should’ve waited to spring that on him.
What if he wasn’t interested since they were only fake dating?
It was one thing to pursue her like he’d done before they’d come up with their agreement, but it was another to take her virginity.
Maybe he didn’t do virgins, preferring someone more experienced.
But just because she’d never had sex didn’t mean she was a prude.
She read a ton of romance novels, watched porn, and even had a battery-operated boyfriend.
Granted, her self-induced orgasms hadn’t come close to what she had experienced with Lynix, but still, she wasn’t a prude.
“Never mind. Forget I said anything,” she mumbled and rushed to the door just as she heard one of the babies crying and Onyx whining.
Perfect Timing.
