Page 82 of Cursed Sight
“The lost what?” Peter asked.
James shrugged. “I’m not sure. It’s all she keeps repeating. I get a feeling that whatever is lost is in a lot of trouble.”
Peter sighed. “You know, life was much simpler before Ryan found Brandy.”
“Ethan, try to get a reading off Peter. Maybe they will give you some guidance,”she instructed.
Ethan reached out and grasped Peter’s bicep. The group paused as Ethan shut his eyes and inhaled deeply. Peter faced Serena, one brow rising to his hairline, but he did not speak. A moment later, Ethan dropped his arm.
“It worked,”Ethan said.
“I didn’t get a lot, but I saw a group of women and children. They didn’t look too good and…”
Peter’s face hardened. “And what?”
Ethan smiled politely at a man who passed them before looking back at Peter’s stiff form. “I think they’re likeyou…”
A growl reverberated in Peter’s chest, gaining the attention from a few ladies nearby.
“We should probably go somewhere more private to talk,” Andrea whispered.
“Here, I’ll show you where the bathroom is,” Serena stated loud enough for the women to hear and grabbed Peter by the elbow. She did not have to look back to know the others had followed.
“This way,” Andrea stated, and they hurried through the house toward the bedroom Brandy used upstairs.
Peter stepped in first. “Damn it, you two!” he snapped and turned back to face the group waiting to enter.
“What?” James asked.
“Shut the damn door!” Ryan snapped from inside the room.
“No! Get your fucking clothes back on! I swear you two are like fucking rabbits,” Peter said, shaking his head.
Both Ethan and James let out distressed groans while Serena could not stop her laughter and Andrea joined in.
“Really?” Ethan asked.
Serena shrugged. “Are you telling me the first thing you wouldn’t want to do after marrying me is have sex?”
“No… but that’s my sister!”
Andrea laughed harder. “Yeah, your hot and pregnant sister.”
“Oh!” the men groaned as they rubbed their faces.
“Exactly,oh!” Serena said, making sure to moan the latter.
Peter peeked over his shoulder, and when Serena suspected he found the newlyweds presentable, he stomped inside.
“What do you mean like Peter?” Ryan asked after Peter updated them on Ethan’s vision and James seeing the spirit.
“Werewolves.”
Peter’s chest puffed out, and he paced the room. “So the lost are werewolves, and they are in trouble. Are they part of my pack? Are they packless? Is this happening now? Will this happen in the near future?”
Serena noted he was in alpha form. Power radiated off him, and those who did not know him would shy away from the dangerous man.
“I don’t know,” Ethan told him.
