Story: City Of Witches
0% 1.
Just because the Kraken retreated back into the sea didn’t mean daylight had arrived.
The sky was still pitch-dark, and every time the Kraken writhed in pain, it kicked up small tidal waves that splashed over the pier.
Now that the top predator was gone, the once-frenzied school of flying fish had calmed down, gliding around like nothing had happened.
Siwoo scanned the ocean around the dock.
Even though he was watching, there wasn’t really anything helpful he could do.
As Deneb had said, it wasn’t called the ‘Witch of the Deep Sea’ for nothing, and just by the look of it, the dark, churning sea was the Kraken’s home turf.
Siwoo had zero experience fighting underwater, so chasing it for a finishing blow would’ve been downright suicidal.
Dragging Deneb back for another round of spellcasting had its own problems too.
First off, with flying fish still zipping around, there wasn’t exactly a safe place to ‘recharge.’
Second, casting spells didn’t just burn mana, there were other costs too.
Pushing out all his mana at once would put serious strain on spirit body’s magic circuits.
And the mental focus needed for heavy-duty spellwork was an invisible resource that also had to be replenished.
Just because Siwoo could amplify his mana didn’t mean he could cast spells forever.
In the end, he could do nothing but stand guard, fending off the occasional stray flying fish while protecting Deneb.
Morning finally broke, and the city began its recovery.
This time, instead of the chapel, they found rest in a nearby merchant’s home.
The bedding was plush, stuffed with fine feathers, and the wine was way better than anything the church had to offer.
But even while sitting on a rare, comfortable bed, Deneb didn’t look happy.
She had to be all kinds of conflicted.
She’d gone so far as to have sex with Siwoo just to unleash her max-output magic—and even that hadn’t done the job.
She was a proud countess, and that had to bruise her ego hard.
So Siwoo offered some half-hearted words of comfort, like it didn’t bother him much.
“Shame, really.”
But truth be told, Siwoo felt a little uneasy too.
At this point, another mana recharge was a must.
To be blunt, the man in him was screaming with joy — but then he thought of the women waiting for him back home, especially the twins. They were probably freaking out over his sudden disappearance... and the guilt hit him.
“Mr. Siwoo, I need a moment to think.”
“Huh?”
“Would you mind stepping out for a bit?”
“Sure. I’ll wait in the next room.”
Deneb watched him leave and took a slow sip of wine.
She pressed a hand to her flushed forehead, like someone who’d pulled an exhausting all-nighter, and sighed again.
“Haa....”
She’d hit the Kraken with everything she had—her strongest spell, loaded with all her mana.
If there was anything unexpected, it was the fact that even after taking that hit, the damn monster still survived and escaped into the sea.
Considering how fast the Kraken regenerated, those three hours of night plus the four hours of daylight would’ve been more than enough for it to fully recover.
She’d even gone as far as to sleep with Siwoo for the sake of it, but since they didn’t manage to kill the Kraken, it was all back to square one.
The Kraken’s ability to flee and recover...
But more than either of those, the real problem was Deneb’s lack of firepower.
If she’d just been able to take it down in one strike, there would’ve been no chance for it to escape or heal.
“If only my sis were here...”
Today’s battle made Deneb painfully aware of Albireo’s absence.
She had never attempted a spell of that scale on her own before.
Which made sense—Gemini witches were two in one by nature.
So her only path forward was to get used to casting massive-scale spells solo.
In other words, she’d have to squeeze out even more firepower from the same mana, she had to get more efficient. That was her only shot.
And that meant making mistakes, learning by trial and error, and staying connected to Siwoo for those recharges was absolutely necessary.
Even Deneb had no idea how many more times she’d have to cross that line and do something so indecent.
Deneb’s brows twitched slightly.
She stood and walked over to the next room, where Siwoo was waiting, and knocked on the door.
“Yes, Ms. Deneb.”
His voice came right away.
Deneb let out a sigh and said,
“Like yesterday... please get ready.”
2.
After dinner, in the Gemini Countess’s study.
The twins were still tangled up in the mountain of homework Sharon had dumped on them.
A thick grimoire was open on the table, acting like the Berlin Wall between Odile and Odette.
Then, from behind the cheat-prevention book, Odette’s tiny face peeked out.
“Sis, sis.”
“What is it, Odette? I’m not helping you. Do it yourself. Don’t forget, this was part of our bet.”
Odile quickly shielded her notes with both arms to block her little sister’s prying eyes.
But Odette wasn’t looking at Odile’s handwritten report, even though it had those overly cheerful fonts.
“Jeez, it’s not that. Just listen for a second, sis.”
“What now?”
“Master.... Don’t you think she’s been acting weird lately?”
“Huh?”
She thought maybe something serious had come up when her sister suddenly spoke,
but it turned out to be just random chatter.
Odile tilted her head, closed her homework, and moved the book that was between them.
This was her younger sister she’d literally been with every moment of her life.
Just from the excited tone in Odette’s voice, she could already tell this was gonna be way more interesting than homework.
“What are you even talking about?”
“Exactly what it sounds like.”
The twins had two mentors, but when they said just “Master,” it always meant Albireo — the elder one, not the junior.
“So what are you trying to say?!”
Frustrated, Odile gave the table a little slam.
Odette leaned in like she was about to drop a huge secret.
“I think Master’s going through puberty.”
“...What?”
Odile was completely thrown off.
Puberty? Out of the blue?
What kind of out-of-nowhere nonsense was this?
“More like... I think she’s into someone.”
“WHAT????”
Whether it was the big master or the little master, they were both orthodox witches who didn’t even pay attention to sexual acts.
And now she was saying Master had someone she liked?
It was an absurd and unbelievable story, but that made it an even more interesting topic of conversation.
“What are you even saying?”
“Just hear me out. Sis hasn’t noticed anything weird lately?”
Odile tilted her head, puzzled by Odette’s almost exasperated tone rather than concerned.
She had seen her master during breakfast and dinner, but there was nothing particularly different from usual.
To Odile, she was the model witch.
She was a wonderful and respectable master.
But Odette’s instincts were sharp.
Hadn’t she always caught on immediately every time Odile went on secret dates with their assistant?
After thinking a bit, Odile grabbed Odette’s wrist and pulled her down onto the sofa beside her.
“Actually, about a week ago, I had something I suddenly needed to ask, so I went to Master’s room.”
“By yourself?”
“Yeah. But then I heard something weird.”
“Weird how?”
“Sis... I’m not even sure I should say this. It might ruin her image...”
Odette dropped her voice low, like she was about to tell a ghost story.
But just as she got to the important part, she hesitated.
“Odette, don’t worry. No matter what it is, I won’t freak out or get shocked. So just spit it out!”
“...I heard sounds.”
“Sounds?”
“Lewd sounds.”
Odile’s eyes widened in disbelief.
N-No way....
“Wait, do you mean s... sex?”
“No, sis. It wasn’t that intense.”
If it had been, there would’ve been the unmistakable obscene sounds of skin slapping or helpless moaning that couldn’t be held back, or at least some rough breathing.
But what Odette had heard was....
“Like... the kind of sound when someone’s holding back a moan? No wait, more like that soft nose-breathing sound you make when you’re turned on.”
“So you’re saying... Master was touching herself?”
“Yeah, that’s what it seemed like.”
Odette nodded without hesitation, while Odile sank deep into thought.
Even though the mansion was big, their masters and the twins lived together as one family.
Just like how the masters had caught the twins’ escapades before, it was entirely possible for the reverse to happen too.
Still, the idea that their gentle and elegant master had been masturbating came as a real shock.
“And lately, if you look closely, she zones out sometimes, or blushes outta nowhere and suddenly leaves the room. She even sighs a lot.”
“She just leaves because she has things to take care of. Master is always busy with work.”
“No, sis. It’s different. This isn’t just her thinking through some problem.”
“Hm... now that you say it like that, it kinda makes sense...”
As she connected the little signs she’d brushed off with what Odette was saying, Odile began to piece together a pretty convincing theory.
These days, their big master’s been getting up in the middle of tea time with her cheeks flushed, and she can’t even focus during meals..
But even so... so what?
“Odette, our Master could do that too. Besides, sexual acts aren’t bad, are they? On the contrary, they’re lovely and precious. Even we, as apprentice witches, climbed the staircase to adulthood with the assistant.”
“That’s true....”
“It just means it’s Master’s turn now. All we need to do is not make a big deal out of it and accept her as she is.”
When it came to men and sex, Odile was way more experienced than their Master.
She gently comforted her younger sister, who likely felt disappointed or shocked upon seeing their master’s unexpected side.
It felt like two parents sitting down for a heart-to-heart after finding out their son had just jerked off for the first timetimeframe .
But even with Odile’s comforting words, Odette still didn’t look at ease.
Something was still bothering her.
“But, sis, who do you think the partner was?”
“Odette, just because someone’s touching themselves doesn’t mean they’re into someone. That’s a big leap.”
“Still, if Master suddenly changed after more than a hundred years of nothing... doesn’t that mean someone did show up?”
Suddenly, silence fell between the two.
“.......”
“.......”
Coincidentally, they were both thinking of the same person.
“Eh, no way.”
“Yeah, there’s no way it’s that bad.”
Odile and Odette exchanged glances and gave a dry little laugh.
“As if something that messed up would actually happen.”
“Totally. Right, sis.”
3.
At that moment, after finishing dinner and preparing for magical research, Albireo lay on the bed in agony.
More precisely, it was a strange situation where her body felt good, but she was mentally distressed.
She didn’t want to know.
She didn’t want to know about the bliss that came from sex, or what her son-in-law’s thing felt like.
She didn’t want to know it at all, not one bit, not even a tiny bit.
After a brief foreplay, she felt a thick, hot object penetrating her body.
“Ughhh....”
They did it after breakfast this morning, and now again after dinner?
He’s got one hell of a sex drive.
And as if to show off that she was no longer a virgin, the pain was totally gone, replaced by a shameless, overwhelming pleasure that filled her up inside.
“Deneb...!”
Even if she let it slide once as a mistake, twice? That wasn’t a mistake anymore.
She even tried to trace Deneb’s location through the resonance of the brand, but whether it was thoroughly blocked, she couldn’t pinpoint it.
So now, with Deneb and Siwoo fully consenting, were cooking up a soap opera-level incestuous fucked-up family tree that’d get cussed out even in trashy dramas.
And it was all happening live, right in front of her!
She even knew Amelia had shut her shop down to go looking for Siwoo, but Albireo couldn’t bring herself to tell her anything.
How the hell was she supposed to explain this?
Just imagining Siwoo returning, kneeling before Albireo, and shouting, “Big mother-in-law! Give me the little mother-in-law too!” made her head spin.
“Ughhh! This is driving me crazy! I’m losing my mind! Haaah!”
As the climax hit and an orgasm was forcibly delivered, she soaked her underwear once again.
Albireo let out a strange, half-moan half-scream, not sure if she was crying in frustration or moaning from the pleasure.
