Page 11 of Cheater and the Saint
“Why change when things are great as-is?” I shot back, propping my feet up on the coffee table in front of me. “I’m hot. She’s hot. Together, we would’ve had hot sex. Nothing better than that.”
A girl standing in a group near me turned her head to give me a puzzled look before focusing back on her friends. Prude.
“How’s your roommate? He still weird?”
I’d told Heath a little about Saint, but not much.
“Yeah,” I answered. “We got into it this morning, so I’m trying to make amends. The dude is a total social recluse.”
“Hey, at least he’s better than the last one,” Heath said. “And doesn’t give you speeches of brimstone and hellfire.”
“True,” I agreed with a laugh. “I’m moving up in the world, bro.”
“Hallelujah.”
I shook my head. “Bye, loser.” And hung up.
When I got back to the room, it was unsurprisingly quiet. A tall lamp in the corner of the living room was on, but other than that, it was dark. Golden light came out from between Saint’s almost-closed door. I walked down the hall, and the closer I got to his room, the more I heard what sounded like a tiny fan. The sound stopped before starting again.
I poked my head into his room to see him sitting at his desk and spinning something in his hands. It was blue and had three points. Hmm. A fidget spinner. He was seriously going to town with spinning that sucker, too.
He didn’t strike me as the kind of person to need one, but then again, I barely knew him.
As quietly as I could, I backed out and went to my own room. A text from Tayte came in.
Tayte:Dude, come 2 my room. Some chicks here r totally DTF.
Down to fuck.
Sex would be a great distraction from everything else I needed to do, and it wouldn’t hurt to get some tension released. Also, I was just fucking horny.
Me:Be there in 5.
