Page 79 of Chasing Tail
Epilogue
Forever was pretty great. Callum was an excellent king. We had this grand wedding where we all got married, and Nissa made my dress. I felt beautiful, and they all looked so handsome in the clothing she made for them. The people in his kingdom turned out and celebrated us. It was a little strange, but it fit. Cassandra threw flowers as I walked down a long pathway to meet my mates.
Callum didn’t make his other siblings marry for alliances, either. Topaz was now one of my closest friends. I adored that girl, and she ended up marrying a panther shifter a few years after I got married.
The kingdom was thriving under Callum’s rule. I knew what they expected of me since they explained it. Callum needed an heir. Beck, Forrest, and Taron left me alone with him until I fell pregnant. It was wholly strange and excruciating to give birth.
I wanted to do it in the water just in case, but they talked me out of it because of my tail. We had a beautiful son who looked just like his father. My son was incredible. Even though it hurt like fuck, I wanted a million more babies with the princes and Taron.
Taron and I even got to go back home. Salem and Adamo were right. They accepted us back as ambassadors, and I got to see my family. They weren’t as angry at me as I would have thought. If they were, they hid it well.
This was good. Better than good. I had family, friends, and my happily ever after. I just needed to plot to kill the king and queen to get it. I didn’t regret it. They deserved to die.
Still, I had everything I didn’t know I wanted, and I intended to keep it.
