CHAPTER FORTY-EIGHT
Greer
I undressed him before I let him get his hands on me. Peeling back each layer of his clothing to reveal his glorious body left me in awe.
Holden Sheppard is magnificent.
I look up from where I’m kneeling. I’ve been here, pleasuring him with my lips, mouth, and teeth since I tugged his boxer briefs down.
His cock was hard and aching for attention, so I couldn’t resist.
He drags a hand through my hair, pushing it back from my face. “If you keep doing what you’re doing, I’ll come down your throat.”
I circle the crown with my tongue, smiling as I do. “That’s not a bad thing, is it?”
“It is if I want to fuck you in the next two minutes.”
He tugs on my hair, encouraging me to stand. I enjoy one last lingering lick along the length of him before I oblige and push up to my feet.
“I was having fun,” I say, pretending to be upset.
He sees right through me. “Lose your clothes and you’ll have even more fun.”
“You want me to strip?” I tease with a fingertip poised on my bottom lip. “Right here. Right now.”
He glances around his bedroom. It’s as stunning as the rest of his apartment.
The king size bed is the anchor of the far wall.
A white tiled fireplace faces it on the opposing wall.
Beautiful art and a stylish silver lamp are the only accessories the space needs. It’s minimalistic but still impressive.
“Now, Greer.” He leaves me where I am to stalk toward a dresser near the bed. After sliding the top drawer open, he pulls out a condom package.
When he turns to face me again, he’s still as hard as stone. His face is etched with raw need. It’s exactly what I feel inside.
He rakes me from head to toe. “Get naked.”
“Help me?” I ask because I want to see his expression as he exposes every part of me.
He steps toward me. As he gets closer, he places the corner of the condom package between his teeth.
His hands get busy tugging my T-shirt over my head before he unclasps the front of my bra.
“I need a minute,” he growls, the condom package falling to the floor. “To suck on this.”
His lips circle my right nipple. The sensation is so overwhelming that it makes my knees weak. I stumble forward a step.
That stops what he’s doing. He pops back up to kiss me hard. “I’m aching for you, Greer. Nothing feels as good as fucking you.”
It’s the same for me. Sex with this man is my bliss.
I tug on the button on my jeans to free it, before I grab hold of the zipper pull. His hand swats mine away. As he takes over sliding my pants down, he drops to a knee to trail kisses over the skin of my thigh.
My hands fall to his hair. I rake my fingers through it, feeling a sense of calmness that I haven’t felt since I left him in East Hampton.
When he looks up, there’s a soft smile on his lips. He doesn’t need to tell me what this means to him. I feel it, too.
Gazing into his eyes, I see something I never thought I would. I see a future with Holden.
He tenderly washed me in the shower after we made love. The sex was different. It was as mind-blowing as every other time we’ve shared ourselves with each other, but today, there was more emotion wrapped around it.
As he entered me, he whispered how divine it felt to be that close to me.
When I came, he told me I was the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen, and when he climaxed, he called out my name in a growl.
It was guttural and raw and followed by a kiss so lush and deep I felt my toes curl as he slowly slid his body from mine.
I wait for him to finish drying off. I’m dry courtesy of his thoughtful touch. He wrapped me in one of his robes after, even taking the time to fold up the sleeves until my hands were visible.
He wraps the towel around his waist, tucking in the end so it stays put. A quick rake of his hands through his hair, and he’s smiling at me. “I should take my contact lenses out.”
“Yes, please.” I nod vigorously. “Holden Sheppard in glasses is one of my kinks.”
That earns me a hearty laugh. “I want to know the other ones.”
“In time.”
“We have all the time in the world, Greer.” He reaches for a bottle of contact lens solution and a container to hold his lenses that are on a shelf. “I don’t mean tonight, but…”
“I know what you mean.” I glance out the bathroom door toward his bedroom. “I should go look at my phone, just in case.”
“Go,” he directs me with a wave of his hand and a smile. “Check on your girl and I’ll get all hot for mine.”
I can’t help but laugh. “You have to know how good you look in those glasses you wear.”
“All I care about is that they make you want me.”
I want him for so many reasons. The glasses have fallen to a spot near the bottom of the list. His compassion, warmth, and the respect he’s shown me regarding my role as a mom and a businesswoman top the list now.
“I do want you,” I whisper.
“You have me,” he says evenly. “I’m yours for as long as you want.”
Forever dances on my tongue, but I keep that word to myself. I’m part of a package deal, and the thought of introducing him to my daughter both thrills and terrifies me.
“I’ll go check on my little girl.” I take a few steps forward to kiss his bare shoulder. “Then I’ll meet you in the kitchen.”
“I’ll be there.” He spins around quickly to kiss me on the lips. “No rush, though. Take as much time as you need. You’re always worth the wait.”
