It’ll also piss him off to hear Humberto put a hit on a woman. He won’t welcome knowing I’m protecting an Aguilar, but he’ll understand honor and duty dictate I do. I’m not prepared to share more about my relationship with Flora than that. Today’s been over the top. Everything about it. The way I barged into her home. The way I commanded her to come with me and gave her no choice, like some maraudingbanditowho takes whatever he sees. The possessiveness and jealousy we’ve both felt finding out about each other’s sexual pasts. The overwhelming desire that shouldn’t exist since we barely know each other.
All of that is private.
“Our cook will bring fresh perishables when he arrives. Our housekeeper is his brother, so they’ll come together. The rest of the staff will come once we’re settled in.”
“They’re both men?”
“We’ve a forward-thinking, modern family.”
“Or they’re trained Cartel members too.”
I don’t respond. She watches me before she nods.
“There are plenty of nonperishables here, so help yourself to anything you find. Hopefully, there’ll be something you like. If there’s anything you want, tell me. I’ll call our cook and let him know what to pick up.”
She sweeps her gaze around the kitchen as I open the pantry door, then the fridge and freezer. There’s not much in the fridge, but there’s still some frozen meat from Alejandro’s last visit down here a couple weeks ago. That makes me pause. He could’ve just as easily been the one to come down here since he visits Colombia more frequently than anyone else in the family. My position prompted me to come instead. But he could’ve been the one to meet Flora.
Would she have wanted Alejandro?
He’s the hot one in the family. It’s not like anyone calls the rest of us unattractive. Just the opposite. But he’s the one people fawn over the most.
Would she have responded to him like she has me? Or would she have gone more willingly?
I push those thoughts aside as we walk into the living room. I show her that and the dining room.
“Down the hall is the office. If I’m in there, donotgo near it. If you call out to me, I’ll hear you.”
With her in the house, it’s likely I’ll speak Macaguán. But there’s always the chance I may speak Spanish or English. She understands both.
“If you’re in there, it’s because you’re having a conversation I shouldn’t hear. I’ll respect that privacy, sir.”
I told her—blurted out—I want to be her Dom, and I do. But I also admitted I want a romantic relationship with her. Becauseof that, hearing her call me sir somehow feels wrong. I want her submission and deference, but I also want her to be my equal in nonsexual things. That should be entirely contradictory. It is. It’s leaving me conflicted.
We make our way upstairs, and I point out various bedrooms as we walk past them. We come to a guest room, and I open the door. Even though we have no one outside the family come here, it’s still ready. It was once my younger brother’s.
“This is your room. You’ll find towels in the bathroom, and I’ll bring you toiletries.”
She hesitates before stepping inside. She looks around with an air of detachment.
“It’s lovely. Thank you.”
She doesn’t meet my gaze as she turns back toward the door. We go past Alejandro’s room before I open the last door.
“This is my room. It’s where you’ll sleep.”
I step inside, and she follows me. The moment she’s through the doorway, I turn and push it closed. I box her against it. I lift her arms over her head as I press my body to hers. She widens her stance as I slide my thigh between hers.
“Ride it,chiquita.”
Her eyes close as she grinds against my leg. She’s not avoiding looking at me because she doesn’t want to obey my command. She’s concentrating. She moans as my lips nip at her neck. I flick my tongue against her earlobe before tugging it with my teeth. She releases a shuddering breath as her hips move faster. I keep my lips next to her ear, so my breath wafts against it as I whisper.
“Do you want this, Flora?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Tell me what ‘this’ is.”
“My obedience. Your control.”
