“Cain?!” I shout desperately, taking a few steps back. My breath catches, and my heart hammers against my chest, but I need to remain calm and focused. This is not gonna end well.

“Cain isn’t coming, doll. I sent him far away.” He prowls closer, the gun pointing to the ground. He shoves the key into his pants pocket.

I stumble back against the vanity, and my hands grab the cold surface.

“You have no idea how many nights I’ve stroked my cock, spilling all over my hand, picturing you gagging on it.”

“You are sick! He will kill you,” I hiss through clenched teeth. “What makes you think I won’t tell him?”

He lets out a wicked giggle once again. Suddenly, he grips my face tightly in his palm, jamming my cheeks together so hard that my teeth grind.

“You open your pretty mouth, and I’ll make sure you never speak again.”

Pain spreads across my jaw, but I refuse to look away. I need to be brave. Tears sting my eyes, but I don’t let them fall. My breath shudders in my chest.

He leans closer, his lips almost brushing my ear.

“Be a good girl, and maybe I’ll be quick,” he whispers, his voice dripping with venom.

A sob catches in my throat. I try to shake my head, but his grip tightens.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk.” The muzzle presses against my stomach. “There’s nowhere to go.”

My thoughts are spiraling, and I need to act quickly, without hesitation.

In one swift motion, I land a strong knee to his crotch, grab the vase, and shatter it onto his head. With a growl, he falls onto the ground, dazed and angry.

“You bitch!”

I don’t have more time to think. I search for the key in his pocket and kick the gun away from him.

Grunting, he grabs my ankle, but I yank it away and manage to get free. My hands shake as I reach the door and try to unlock it.

The key falls from my fingers.

He’s getting up.

My hands shake more and more with each second. “Come on!” I hiss through clenched teeth.

I unlock it.

He grabs my hair from behind, spins me around, and pins me against the door. “Not so fast, bitch!”

Before he can get closer, I slam my knee into his ribs. He curses, his hand slipping from my hair. I push him as hard as I can, and he loses his balance for a second.

I grab the knob, open the door, and sprint down the hallway.
