Page 143 of Breakaway Goals
Holy shit.Holy shit.
“You okay, bud?” Lars asked, patting him on the back.
No, he was not okay. He’d died and gone to fucking heaven. He wasn’t on earth; he was currently levitating a few hundred feet above sea level.
Morgan chose that moment to turn around and, meeting Hayes’ eyes with a shit-eating grin, sauntered over.
Like he knew exactly the kind of sensation he was causing. Like helovedit.
“Great game,” Morgan said, leaning in, not kissing him on the mouth but on the cheek, even though Hayes hadn’t made it to the showers yet.
Hayes opened his mouth and then snapped it shut again. He had absolutely no thoughts in his head exceptMorgan-bed-now.
He already knew that when they finally made it there—hopefully as soon as possible—Morgan wasn’t going to be taking that jersey off.
Though from the way Morgan was gazing at him, smug and superior and so fucking pleased with himself, it seemed very likely that he wouldn’t get a single argument out of him about that.
“Uh, nice jersey,” he finally said.
“Oh, you like it?” Morgan had never been innocent a day in his life, and he was absolutely not innocent now, but the way he sounded made Hayes want to push him down to his knees and see just how dirty he was willing to be.
It was wrong to think about Finn just now, not when he was desperately trying not to get a hard-on in the middle of the locker room, but Hayes couldn’t help but think of what he’d said earlier today. You two are basically made for each other.
There was nobasicallyabout it.
“I . . .I fucking love it,” Hayes said in a low voice. Hopefully just loud enough for Morgan only to hear.
“I loveyou,” Morgan murmured. “You gonna take me home and fuck me wearing it?”
Hayes choked on air. “Is that what you want?”
It should be impossible for Morgan to look innocent still. But of course, he managed it, barely looking like he was breaking a sweat. And then there was Hayes, who was breathing hard enough it felt like he’d just finished a double shift.
“I said it was,” Morgan said. “Do you even know the kind of shit I had to tolerate all game from Jacob, wearing this? Even though heregularlywears Finn’s?”
But he didn’t sound mad about it. More like proud, actually.
That was a whole different thing that Hayes couldn’t wrap his head around.
“I gotta—” Hayes broke off, feeling strangled by the hard punch of desire wrapping itself around his throat. “I gotta take a shower. Uh. And then we can go?”
“You go do that, angel,” Morgan said. “I’ll be waiting.”
He was as good as his word, waiting by Hayes’ car in the players’ parking garage. Of course he was not alone, though. Jacob and Finn were there too, hanging out next to him.
“If this is some kind of kinky sex game, I don’t want to hear about it,” Finn said.
Morgan just rolled his eyes. “Like I haven’t tolerated more than two years of your kinky sex games with this idiot.” He jabbed an elbow in Jacob’s general direction. Jacob just laughed.
“Yeah, it’s our turn,” Hayes said, deciding that plausible deniability had probably gone right out the window. And why should he not get all hot and bothered about his boyfriend wearinghisname andhisnumber? It was really fucking hot.
“Don’t worry though,” Morgan said, shooting Finn a look. “This is just for special occasions.”
“Gross, gross,gross.Enough. We’re leaving. I’d say have a good time but I really don’t want to think about it at all,” Finn exclaimed, grabbing Jacob by the arm and literally dragging him off.
Morgan was still chuckling as Hayes leaned in and kissed him, more thoroughly this time. The way he hadn’t in the locker room.
“Special occasion, huh?” Hayes murmured against his lips.
