I made the mistake of telling Reynold I moved to NYC with nothing but two suitcases and a shoulder bag full of clothes, shoes, a few books, and personal items. The next day, the texts started.
He bombarded me with a million questions about supplies I want stocked in my bathroom. Everything from shampoo, conditioner, skin and hair care products, makeup, and even tampons and pads. Then he asked about my favorite foods and snacks to fill the cabinets and fridge in the kitchen and meals I wanted prepped by his chef. He even asked me my favorite color, which I assume he will implement in my room.
I tried telling him a million times not to buy me anything, but he ignored those texts. When he offered me his credit card to go shopping for new clothes, I called him.
“I don’t need new clothes, Reynold.”
“You told me all your clothes fit into one bag. I want you to have more.”
“Then I’ll buy them with the salaryyoupay me for beingAddy’snanny.”
“Part of the contract you signed, which you clearly failed to read, states that your employer covers wardrobe allowances. Just as your employer is covering all your food and transportation costs.”
“My employer can go—”
“Stop fighting me on this, Savannah. I have more than enough money. Buy the damn clothes.”
He’s so freaking demanding sometimes, and even though he hung up on me before I could continue arguing, my curiosity got the best of me, and I googled his net worth. Despite taking a break from acting for five years, he’d filmed enough movies, making more and more with each one, to keep his bank account well fed.
Yeah. He’s stinking rich. Like, multi-millionaire rich.
Me
Are you seriously asking me about toilet paper?
Hot British Guy
Yes
Me
I don’t give a shit. Lol. Get it?
Hot British Guy
...
Me
Fine. Surprise me
I follow it up with poop and toilet paper emojis.
He sends an eye roll emoji because ‘surprise me’ has been my answer to a lot of his texts.
Hot British Guy
I just want to make sure you have everything you need before you arrive
Me
You’ve done more than enough
Hot British Guy
I can always do more
When I don’t answer, he sends another text.
