Page 70 of Bargain With the Boss
I laughed and pushed her hands away so I could get the stupid condom on before I came all over her goddamn thigh. Her dress was pushed up and her top was down. My pants were barely over my ass, but it didn’t matter.
I bit back a groan as I inched inside of her. It felt too good.
Too perfect.
Once.
Never enough.
I drove the rest of the way inside of her and she wound those Amazonian legs around me, drawing me even closer.
“Yes,” she purred into my ear. “Yes.”
“Yes, Xavier.” I ground out as I pulled back and thrust once more.
“Yes, Xavier.” The words became a cry as the frenzy unleashed between us.
I braced myself above her, watching her body take me again and again. My spine heated as I tried to outrace my own end. When I looked up and found her watching me, I melted into her. I covered her mouth with mine, drawing from her as I gave back. Our bodies in time with each rolling thrust as she shuddered around me.
I buried my face in her neck with the last deep plunge inside of her.
Her legs and arms were around me as I came only seconds after her.
The room went a little fuzzy then and I was pretty sure I blacked out for a second before I lifted off her. “Fuck.”
She flung one arm out with a soft smile. “That we did.”
I grunted out a laugh. “I mean sorry. I didn’t mean to just collapse on you.”
She sighed. “Worth the oxygen deprivation.”
I pushed myself up onto my knees, freezing when I saw the broken edges of the condom. “Shit.”
“What?” Her eyes were sleepy and satisfied.
My heart pounded as the black dots resurfaced.
No.
I hopped off the bed. “Duchess, are you on something?”
“I was on cloud nine. I didn’t think it existed, but here we are.” She propped herself up on her elbow. Suddenly she sat up and gathered her dress against her chest. “What?”
“The condom broke.”
“Oh.” She shook her head. “It’s fine. I’ve been on birth control since I was sixteen.”
The quick relief butted up against an old pain.
A baby.
One I’d lost long ago before it ever became a real glimmer.
I snapped it back into the box and shoved it into the attic of my brain where it belonged.
I sagged against the side of the bed. “Okay.”
She’d pulled the sheet around her with the dress. Her hair was a curly mess around her shoulders and her mouth was deliciously smudged.
