Page 110 of An Epic Voyage
Somehow, they made it to her loft.Clothes disappeared, her back hit the mattress, and then he was inside her. They were so desperate for each other that it didn’t last long.It was still amazing.
Griffin pulled her against him and held her.“I’ve missed you.”
She snuggled closer.“I’ve missed you too.”
“What are we going to do about that?”
Indigo leaned back to see his face. His expression was serious, his eyes intent on hers. She’d thought a lot about the question over the past week or so.She loved her job, was good at it.The action and excitement were perfect for her.She couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
That was before she met Griffin. In the time she’d spent with him, her priorities had shifted.Suddenly, a perfect career wasn’t enough. She wanted a life, one with Griffin.
“I hear Los Angeles is a fabulous city.”
“Oh, it is,” he assured her.“But I kind of like Boston.”
Her heart began to pound.“It’s a great town.”
“I don’t care about that.You’re here.”
There was no denying her feelings any longer. She loved him, was in love with him.Pushing him onto his back, she whispered, “Someone is about to get lucky ...again.”
“As much as I want that, and that’s patently obvious,” he flexed his hips, “I need you to know that I requested a transfer to the Boston office.”
“You did?”
“Yeah, but there’s no pressure.I thought we could—oof.”
Indigo attacked him, kissing him and climbing on top to bring him into her body.It was fast and furious again, and just as mind-blowing as every other time they had made love.
“I take it you’re okay with me moving here?”
Was it too soon to ask him to move in with her?Would he want to?Would Evangeline allow that? She forced the thoughts away for later consideration.“I’m more than okay with it.We haven’t known each other long, but I think I love you, Griffin Decker.”
A wide smile broke across his handsome face.“That’s good because I think I love you too, Indigo Adair.”
