It was one of those rare moments where everything seemed to align perfectly—a snapshot of peace amidst the chaos that had unraveled and re-woven the fabric of our lives.

Just then, a soft 'click' echoed in the room, barely audible yet undeniably distinct. All eyes turned to Aspirin, who sat with her head cocked to the side, a tiny silver bell rolling away from her. Her collar was gone.

A smile spreading across my face. The mate spell—the magic that had drawn us together—had released its final hold. I met Asa’s gaze, noting that he too noticed the collar was gone. We’d hadn’t told the others of our theory that the collar had a mating spell on it. Now that it was gone, and I still felt like I belonged with each of these men, I believed the magic was only meant to bring us together. Once we agreed to staying together, the spell was done.

"I love you guys. I just wanted to let you know," I said, my heart swelling with the truth of my words. These men had become more than just allies or lovers; they were my chosen partners in every sense, connected by something far deeper than spells or fate.

"Here's to new beginnings," Grant declared, rising to his feet with a mischievous glint in his eyes. He fetched glasses from the cabinet and a bottle of red wine from the fridge. When he returned to the living room, he poured each of us a glass.

We each took a glass, raising them in a silent toast to the future—one without secrets lurking in shadows or mysteries to solve. A future where the love we shared was no longer questioned but simply lived.

Aspirin purred contentedly, circling our feet, blissfully unaware of the profound change her little act had signified. The bond between us was ours alone now, free from any magical influence.

"Here's to us," I said, locking eyes with each of my mates, feeling their emotions reflected in my own—a tapestry woven from threads of joy, hope, and an unyielding sense of belonging.

"Here's to us," they echoed, and the clink of our glasses punctuated the beginning of our new chapter.

"Looks like Aspirin approves," Asa noted, pointing at the kitten now curled up and dozing on her side.

"Then it's unanimous," Draven stated, a satisfied smirk playing on his lips.

"Unanimous," I repeated, snuggling closer to Roan's side, feeling the steady beat of his heart against my ear.

"Adventure awaits," Roan whispered, his breath tickling my neck, sending a thrill of anticipation running through me.

"Let it come," I replied, ready for the unknown, grounded by love, and surrounded by the best company I could ever wish for.
