I’d been watching this nigga since he left the warehouse. I was on some real quiet, real patient, shadow type shit. Trying to pull a him on him. He loved moving in the dark, so let me take a card out his hand.
Onyx thought I was weak, thought I was gonna fall back and let shit go ’cause time passed. Nah. I had him right where I wanted.
This nigga was out here finger painting with a bitch while he got a hit on his head for killing my pops. Killer turned lover boy—that’s real funny.
He moved like he was untouchable, like the world couldn’t touch him, like taking my father’s last breath didn’t come with a bill attached. But I been clocking everything.
The girl? Yeah. I seen her. She was bad as hell—skin like butter, face soft but her eyes sharp. It looked like she peeped more than she said. She was always in that art studio she ran. And if she wasn’t there, she was with that loud-ass best friend of hers. She was a short thing with attitude.
I took notes every day. It was the same routine.
Onyx was too comfortable. Niggas forgot how dangerous comfort was.
Today was the day. I pulled up to that studio and sat in the cut across the street with tinted windows and my seat leaned back.
I watched them through the glass. They were barefoot with body paint all over them like they ain’t have a care in the fucking world, laughing, touching.
That man ain’t even know he was being hunted, that his world was about to split down the middle.
You didn’t get to take my father and ride off into the sunset with a pretty bitch and peace of mind. You had to pay… one bone at a time.
So, I started with the bitch’s friend. I snatched her up just like that. She was walking out the studio, headed to her car. I was already in the back seat. I put a rag over her mouth. It was quiet and easy.
Now, she was laid out cold in my back seat, her head resting like she just needed a nap. I looked back at her then reached for my phone. I snapped a picture of her out cold and sent it straight to Onyx.
“I’m taking bitches out like a tomb raider.”
Let’s see how he moves now. Let’s see if that peace he found still felt like peace when the walls started crumbling. I wasn’t just coming for his heart. I was coming for his entire fucking legacy.
