“Callahan,” he rasped. “I love you so much.”

“I love you.” Callahan kissed his way down Jace’s hand to the thin underside of his wrist.

“I don’t want to tell them yet,” he said. “I want this to be ours awhile.”

Callahan smiled, his lashes fluttering as his fingers twisted the ring up and off of Jace’s finger. He slipped it into the pocket of Jace’s jeans and gave his finger one more kiss. He’d only worn the ring for a handful of seconds, but he already felt naked without it.

“It’s ours always,” Callahan promised. “But we can pretend for the weekend.”

Jace scoffed. “How well did that work last time?”

He pulled the ring out of his pocket and slid it back onto his finger…where it belonged.

“I think it worked out just fine,” Callahan said, giving him another searing, soul-rending kiss. Jace looped his arms around Callahan’s neck and kissed him back with as much fervor as he could muster, only breaking away when his cock pressed against the fly of his jeans.

“More than fine,” he whispered, clearing his throat and licking Callahan’s taste off his lips. “Better than I could have ever imagined.”
