He leaned his head back against me, and for a moment, we just sat there, quiet in the middle of the noise and magic of Disney. The sound of families, laughter, music… but this moment? It was ours.
I was still catching my breath from laughing at S3 when I glanced up and saw Ms. Serena, Rich, and Southside walking toward us.
“Hey! I didn’t know y’all were coming.”
“Yeah,” Rich said, smirking like he knew something I didn’t. “We just stopped by for a little.”
“Ma! Stormi’s having a baby,” S3 shouted proudly, running up to Ms. Serena like he couldn’t hold it in another second.
“I know, baby,” she said, bending down to scoop him into a hug. She pulled me into one too, soft and warm like only a mama can. “I’m so happy for you both.”
“Seth went to the bathroom, he should be right back,” I said casually, brushing some hair out of my face. I looked around and that’s when I saw Noah, Dre, and Jo. My heart swelled just seeing all the people I loved slowly finding their way to me.
“Jo?” My voice cracked, shock punching the air from my lungs.
She was supposed to be in rehab. But there she was fresh face, bright eyes, walking like she had finally let some weight go.
She ran toward me, arms wide and open like I’d waited my whole life for that exact moment.
She hugged me so tight, I felt something break loose inside me and then she peppered my face with kisses like I was her baby girl.
“Hey Prego,” she grinned, rubbing my barely-there bump. “Look at you glowing. Pregnancy looks good on you.”
“Jo, how why didn’t you tell me you were coming?”
“We wanted to surprise you,” Noah chimed in, towering over Jo and me like the baby brother who blinked and grew into a man overnight.
I pulled him into a hug too, heart still pounding with emotion. It felt like my family was showing up, one by one. That familiar ache I used to carry in my chest? Gone for the moment.
“Seth should be coming back soon,” I said, still recovering from seeing Jo. “Maybe we all can go have dinner after this?”
I turned around casually, expecting to see Seth with food or a water bottle. But what I saw stole all the air from my lungs. My breath hitched. My heart damn near stopped. I couldn’t see clearly as the tears were already clouding my vision. Breathe , I told myself. Breathe, Stormi.
Seth was walking toward me slowly and just like that, down on one knee. In his hand, a black velvet box opened wide, showing the biggest diamond I had ever seen in my life. And in his eyes, love. Raw, unfiltered, forever kind of love.
“We created a union,” he started, voice strong but shaky.
“We’re creating life. And now our own little family.
There’s no one else I want to share my life, my kids, or my last name with but you.
Stormi.” His voice cracked, and my tears spilled over.
“There’s no more running. I want to do this thing called forever with you.
” He took a breath, eyes locked on mine. “Stormi, will you marry me?”
The park got quiet… at least it felt that way. The noise faded, like God hit pause just for us. A small crowd gathered, but all I could see was him.
I thought back to that first moment I met Seth standing outside the hospital doors, holding mine open like he was meant to. Since then, he’d held more than just doors he’d held my fears, my heart, my body, and now he was offering me forever.
“Yes,” I whispered. Then louder, bolder, with everything in me, “Yes!”
I walked forward, crying, laughing, shaking, and Seth scooped me into his arms like he couldn’t wait another second. We held each other like time didn’t matter and nothing else existed. Our family and friends erupted around us, coming in for hugs and kisses.
“My boy,” Rich said, dapping up Seth before pulling me into a hug. “You locked her down finally.”
“I couldn’t have prayed for a better daughter,” Ms. Serena whispered in my ear as she hugged me again, tears in her eyes too.
“Does this mean we getting wedding cake?” S3 asked, and the whole group burst into laughter.
“Told you to lock that nigga down,” Jo said, wrapping her arms around both Seth and me. “And my baby did just that.”
I leaned into her, tears still sitting at the corners of my eyes. “I love you, Jo.”
“I love you more, Stormi.”
“Now that you got a man, maybe you can stay outta my business,” Noah joked, walking up and giving me a brotherly squeeze.
“Not a chance,” I said, grinning, then pinched his nose. “You are my business.”
“Sis, just make sure you let this nigga know this one is my godchild,” Southside declared, arms already out for a hug.
“Nigga, all of them my godkids,” Rich jumped in, pushing Southside slightly.
“Y’all funny,” a voice came from behind me, and I turned to see RJ and Ari walking up. My heart fluttered again.
“RJ!”
“You think I was gon’ miss my best friend’s proposal?” he said, hugging me tightly and kissing my cheek. “Girl, I had the best angle. This footage going viral.”
“Thank you,” I whispered.
RJ smirked. “Now tell them who the baby’s goddaddy is. These fools confused.”
Seth stepped forward, tugging me gently by the hand.
“Y’all enjoy Disney,” he said. “Let me borrow my wife.” He kissed my lips, soft and slow like he wanted to taste the word “fiancée” off of me.
“I love you,” he said against my lips.
“I love you too.”
“Let’s go.”
“We leaving?” I asked, holding his hand tighter.
Seth just smiled like he had another surprise waiting.
"Yes, I need some alone time with my wife.”
The way Seth said ‘wife’ made my stomach flip. It wasn't just the word it was the certainty behind it, like he had always known we’d get here. Every time it rolled off his tongue, I felt more chosen, more secure more loved.
I never thought I’d be anybody’s wife. Not because I didn’t want to be, but because I’d seen love ruin too many people.
I watched it twist women up, break them down, leave them hollow.
And me I learned to walk away first. I’d built escape routes in every relationship.
Love slow, leave faster . That was my motto.
Until Seth. He didn’t let me run. Every time I packed my bags literally or emotionally he followed, not to guilt me or hold me hostage, but to bring me home. To him. He loved me out loud, and on the days I couldn’t love myself, he did it for both of us.
We left Disney behind, said goodbye to everyone with promises to celebrate more tomorrow. But tonight, tonight was just us.
Our suite was quiet, dimly lit with soft golden light from the sconces on the wall.
The moment the door clicked shut, Seth turned to me and just stared.
No smile. No words. Just eyes that said everything.
Like he still couldn’t believe I said yes.
He reached out and tucked a braid behind my ear, then kissed my forehead.
“Come on,” he said, gently pulling me toward the bathroom.
The water steamed up around us as we stepped into the shower, the day melting off our skin.
I stood there, eyes closed, letting it wash over me until I felt Seth’s arms wrap around my waist from behind.
His chest pressed to my back, lips brushing over my shoulder, and it was like every fear I’d ever had got swallowed up in that one touch.
He didn’t rush. He just held me. His fingertips traced slow circles over my belly, the place where our baby grew. I felt a knot build in my throat. I turned in his arms and looked up at him.
“Let me take care of you tonight,” I said, my voice low and certain.
Seth looked at me like I was the only woman left in the world. “You already do.”
I stepped out of the shower, steam still curling from my skin, pulling Seth behind me like I always did effortless, magnetic.
Neither of us cared that our wet bodies were leaving trails across the floor.
The only thing I cared about was the way he looked at me, like I was the center of every one of his desires.
He stood in front of the bed, directly facing the mirror. Tall. Strong. Mine.
I dropped to my knees in front of him, the cool air brushing my wet skin as I wrapped my hand around his shaft. His eyes locked on mine through the reflection, and I knew he felt it too that slow burn lighting between us, all hunger and heat.
My touch was deliberate. My pace was unhurried.
I wanted him to feel everything. Lust poured from my eyes to his as I took him fully in my mouth My gag reflex kicked in, but I caught my breath and stayed in control.
The shower water and my saliva glazed his length, real slick and hot against my mouth as I locked my jaws tight sliding him deep in and out with slow sinful precision.
My tongue circled around him, teasing, swirling, and tracing every vein and ridge while my hand wrapped firm around the base, pulsing with each stroke.
I caught his eyes in the mirror dark full of fire and need and gave him a wicked smirk I sucked harder deeper until I felt him throb against my throat my lips tighten around him with promise I flicked my tongue over the sensitive tip making him shudder and groan.
My hand slid down to his balls cupping and kneading them with care whispering my control even as he trembled under my touch.
The kind of tremble that said he was seconds away from surrender
“Look at me,” I said softly, glancing up at him through my lashes.
And then, finally, he let go. His head falling back, hands tightening, breath catching on my name again as I took every bit of his release like it was meant for me.
No hesitation. No shame. Just us raw and real.
The sound he made was somewhere between a growl and a plea.
He reached down, for me pulling me to my feet, like I was the only anchor he had left in this world, and kissed me with all that built-up need.
It was urgent, deep, and full of fire. When he laid me across the bed, hovering over me like I was something sacred, I knew this wasn’t just sex. It was love. It was power. It was us.
