Page 57 of A Cold Hard Truth
“Good boy.”
“Jesus,” Sebastian muttered, his cock thickening right before his eyes. He squeezed them closed, putting the phone on speaker and dropping it onto the bed. Sebastian pressed his fingertips against his eyelids and grunted.
“What’s wrong?”
“Why am I this way?” he asked.
“You’re you. Perfectly created and inimitable.”
“I don’t know that word,” he grumbled.
“Impossible to copy,” Remington answered.
Sebastian wanted to believe it. With every fiber in his being, he wanted to believe he was unique and… inimitable. But he didn’t. He’d spent his life living in the shadow of his brother, of their family name, and even though he’d found the courage to buck it off, there wasn’t anything special about him. In fact, there were probably at least a hundred other men just like him back in Mallardsville, waiting for their turn, their chance, their fortune.
“You don’t believe me?” Remington asked.
“No.” He fell back on the bed, opening his eyes to the bright fireworks that clouded his vision, and he blinked until his ceiling came into focus.
“You ate what I told you to eat. You did what I told you to do,” Remington said. “No one has done that before, Sebastian. And no one will do it again. And if they do, it won’t be the way you do it.”
“Already planning ahead?”
“I’m being practical.” Remington sighed. “You’re not going to want this… want me, forever. If even for long.”
“You don’t know that.”
“I’m the first man you’ve been with.”
“And I’m the first manyou’vebeen with,” he snapped. “I could say the same about you.”
“You’re being pugnacious.”
“I don’t know that one either.” He covered his face with his arm. “Is this what Jace feels like?”
“We’re not talking about Jace, and it means you’re being quick to quarrel.”
“I’m being practical,” he said. “Reasonable.”
“You’re being unnecessarily disparaging.”
Sebastian knew that word, at least. “It’s not unnecessary.”
“I’m coming over after work,” Remington said, clearing his throat. “It sounds like we need to talk about some things. I think we have ill-aligned notions about how this works or what it is.”
Remington was wrong. Sebastian knew exactly what it was, what it was mean to be… what it could be. Even though he barely understood the way he felt when his cock thickened under Remington’s watch and instruction, it didn’t change the fact that he wanted all of those feelings, and he wanted them all the time.
Unwarranted, a memory of Daniella made its way into his head. He clenched his jaw, thinking about what it felt like to be penetrated, and he wondered what Remington’s cock would feel like doing the penetrating. It wasn’t an unwelcome thought, but it was inappropriate at best.
“Remington,” he said, his voice barely more than a moan.
“Are you still hard?”
Sebastian blinked, memories and fantasies merging in his brain into something uncontrollable, but necessary.
“Yes,” he answered.
On the other end of the phone he heard rustling and then a soft exhale. “Did you want to come again?”
