Story: Warrior Rescued
“I think you just wanted to apprehend a mate. I recall the way you washed me.” Payim’s brows arched as he gave her a sardonic smile.
“Thisisa good tale.” Faktil grinned as he looked back and forth between them.
She almost laughed as she cast Payim the evil eye. He was so rotten, bringing up such things in front of his friend.
“I think that rock knocked a few brain cells loose,” she informed him.
“Probably, but not enough to let you go into the heart of the reptile outpost.” Payim eyed her.
Her mouth dropped open.
Stubborn man!
Payim quo Desero
“We seriously look just like the reptiles.” Elena stared in awe at the three of them, as the enemy cruiser skimmed the ground heading toward the Jurou Biljana outpost.
Her voice was altered to match her disguise, but still, her familiar inflections were there, sounding odd coming from what looked like a Jurou Biljana.
“We do. It’s a cloaking feature in the combat shell,” Scala relayed.
The combat shells were miraculous. With a single command they were able to mimic the reptiles, rather than the basic humanoid form it defaulted to when subterfuge wasn’t required. And yet the shell didn’t remove all risk.
“Remember to stay behind me, please. You are not invincible in that armor,” Payim insisted, not sure he had her full attention. “You must have knocked the sense out of me. I don’t know why I agreed to this,” he mumbled.
Elena leaned in close. “Because I threatened to unman you, then masturbate with your dick while you’re forced to merely watch,” she reminded him with an impish smile.
Faktil coughed, covering up a laugh.
“That would do it,” Scala snorted under his breath.
“May the goddess bless you both.” Payim glared at his friends before turning his gaze back to the ship controls.
One day those males would meet a female that drove them insane. If the goddess was kind and just, it would be sooner rather than later.
“He’s definitely cracked. That’s just plain mean to wish on anybody,” Scala huffed to Faktil.
“I don’t know. The more spirited the female, the better.” Faktil shrugged, appearing intrigued by the notion.
“Be careful what you wish for,” Elena giggled as she sat back in her seat.
Payim chuckled and nodded in agreement. In all honesty, he didn’t mind being teased and loved hearing Elena laugh, even if it was odd coming from what looked like a reptile. Jokes aside, though, this difference of opinion was a difficult test of their bond.
Pray it’s not our last.He cast a concerned glance at his mate.
“I will stay by your side,” Elena reassured him.
He nodded and focused on the swiftly approaching outpost. They were within range so there was no going back now.
“I witnessed the cruisers leave from the south side.” Scala pointed to the viewscreen.
“Did you spot any other access or exits?” he asked while studying the palisade surrounding the outpost.
“Not that I saw.” Scala shook his head.
“Our back-up can take cover by those rock formations. Cloaked, they should be fine.” He swiped the handheld strapped to his arm, relaying the information to the two teams following at a distance.
Once inside, they’d have to either find a way out, or pray their back-up could handle the security guarding the palisade.
