Story: Tainted Hearts
Istruggled to tear my gaze away from Sierra's flushed face. The silver of her hair was splayed across the furs beneath us, her chest rising and falling with rapid breaths as she recovered from Archer's attentions. My turn was coming, and the anticipation coiled tight within me, a physical ache that demanded satisfaction.
But something strange caught my peripheral vision. Movement where there should have been none.
I reluctantly shifted my focus past Sierra's shoulder, and my breath caught in my throat. The sanctuary—my sanctuary—was transforming before my very eyes.
Flowers were blooming along the walls, not just the few that had appeared during Rowen's claiming, but hundreds of them—night-blooming jasmine, moonflowers, and rare phosphorescent orchids that I hadn't seen in this realm for millennia. Their ghostly blue-white light cast ethereal patterns across our skin, turning Sierra's silver hair into a river of starlight.
Even more astonishing, several weeping willows had sprouted from the earthen floor, their slender branches already reaching toward the ceiling, tiny green leaves unfurling likecurious fingertips. The roots pushed through the packed earth, creating natural undulations in the previously flat floor.
And water—where had that come from? A small stream now trickled along the far wall, feeding into a crystal-clear pond that hadn't existed when we'd entered the sanctuary. The water caught the bioluminescent light from the flowers, reflecting it back in hypnotic patterns.
"By all the ancient powers," I whispered, awestruck by the transformation.
Sierra's eyes followed mine, widening as she took in the changes. Even in her pleasure-dazed state, she recognized the significance.
I leaned forward, brushing damp strands of silver hair from her forehead. My fingers lingered against her skin, marveling at the power that hummed beneath her mortal flesh.
"Look what you've done," I murmured, my voice soft with wonder. "You've brought new life to the realm, to my sanctuary. No living soul has walked these grounds in centuries, and now..." I gestured to the blooming life around us. "Now it responds to your presence as if welcoming you home."
Sierra's eyes, still glazed and unfocused from her multiple climaxes, found mine. A dreamy smile curved her lips. "Did I do that?" she asked, her voice husky from her cries of pleasure.
"Yes," I confirmed, trailing my fingertips down her cheek to her jaw. "Your power, unlocked by our claiming, is already reshaping our world. You're extraordinary."
She laughed, the sound light and carefree, unburdened by the enormity of what was happening. "I'm delightful. What did you expect?"
Her unexpected quip startled a genuine laugh from me. Even now, overwhelmed and caught between three supernatural beings, she maintained that spark of irreverent humor that had first drawn me to her.
"She's all yours now, brother," Archer said, his wings still partially extended, the white feathers catching the bioluminescent light in iridescent flashes. He winced slightly as he separated from Sierra, his partial knot having finally subsided.
I rose from my position at the foot of the bed, prowling forward until I could reach Archer. Without hesitation, I tangled my fingers in his dark hair and pulled him toward me, claiming his mouth in a fierce kiss. I could taste Sierra on his lips, along with the metallic tang of Rowen's bite. The combination was intoxicating, and I growled my approval against his mouth.
When I released him, his ice-blue eyes were dark with renewed hunger. "Don't keep her waiting," he advised, voice rough with satisfaction and the promise of more to come.
I turned my full attention to Sierra then, drinking in the sight of her sprawled across the furs, her body bearing the visible marks of her claiming by both Rowen and Archer. A fierce possessiveness surged through me at the sight. She would bear my mark too, before this night was through.
With deliberate slowness, I eased her further up the bed, arranging her against the pillows. My hands savored the silken texture of her skin, the generous curves of her body. Unlike Rowen's demonic form or Archer's angelic heritage, my Fae nature didn't manifest in such dramatic physical changes—but I had other gifts, other pleasures to offer our shared mate.
I gathered her wrists in one of my hands, drawing them above her head and pressing them gently into the pillows. The action arched her back, offering her breasts to my appreciative gaze. She didn't resist, instead looking up at me with those extraordinary silver eyes, now beginning to clear from their pleasure-haze as anticipation for what was to come built within her.
"It's finally my turn," I told her, my voice dropping to the low, mesmerizing cadence that was unique to the Fae. "My turn to make you mine, to quench the heat... at least for the moment."
She shivered at my words, her body responding to the subtle magic woven through them. The Fae were known for their voice magic, their ability to enthrall with nothing more than carefully chosen words. I would use every advantage, every gift at my disposal to make this final claiming unforgettable for her.
Unlike my brother and Archer, who had taken her with unleashed passion and primal hunger, I positioned myself between her thighs with deliberate patience. My arousal brushed against her entrance, already slick and welcoming from her previous pleasures. The feeling of that first contact nearly undid my control—she was heat and silk and everything I'd dreamed of during my long, solitary years.
"Please," she whispered, her hips lifting invitingly. "Callum, please."
I smiled down at her, tightening my grip on her wrists ever so slightly. "Patience, little necromancer. We have all night, all eternity. I intend to savor every moment."
Then I pushed forward, sinking into her welcoming heat with agonizing slowness. I watched her face as I did, cataloging every flicker of expression, every gasp and moan as her body yielded to mine. When I was fully seated within her, her eyes had fallen closed, her head tipping back in pleasure.
"No," I said softly, my free hand coming up to wrap lightly around her throat, my thumb positioned just under her chin to guide her gaze back to mine. "Look at me, Sierra. I want to see your eyes as I take you."
Her eyelids fluttered open, those extraordinary silver irises meeting mine. The connection was electric, intimate in a way that transcended the physical joining of our bodies. Through our newly forming bond, I could feel echoes of her pleasure, hergrowing need. It amplified my own, creating a feedback loop of sensation that threatened to overwhelm us both.
I began to move within her, setting a pace that was deliberately, torturously slow. Each withdrawal was languid, each return measured and deep, ensuring she felt every inch of me claiming her. She tried to quicken the pace, her hips rising to meet mine, but I used my grip on her throat to control her movements.
"Patience," I reminded her, watching as frustration and pleasure warred on her beautiful face. "Feel every moment, every sensation. Let it build slowly."
